Their smoked meats are truly top notch! We got a platter and everything was amazing. Brisket, ribs and pulled pork were definitely the highlights but even their coleslaw and sweet potato fries were very good. This place is a gem, totally worth the drive if you are the other side of town. Cold beer, very good service and the owners were super kind and very much appreciated when we spoke highly about the food. They are not brewing yet, but I'm looking forward to their beers too.

I spent a lot of time in Texas and have eaten my fair share of bbq. Ward One does a great job.

Shared a 4 meat/3side meal and it was fantastic. Tried the chicken, ribs, pulled pork and brisket. Ended up getting a sausage which turned out to be a favorite!

Side were also amazing the beans were my favorite, but we also had the coleslaw and mac and cheese.

We all let very full and happy. If you want some great bbq, do yourself a favor and stop by Ward One!

Ordered the 2-meat 2-side platter (pictured, $32). The meats were 3 ribs and brisket ($5 upcharge) and the sides were french fries and creamy coleslaw. Ordered a side of gravy for $2 extra.

Fatty brisket was tender but leaner cuts were quite dry and harder to eat. The pork ribs had a very visible smoke ring and were covered with their original BBQ sauce and tasted good. More sauce was needed overall to make things less dry and just nice to have on the side.

The french fries appear to be freshly cut and had varying degrees of cookedness — some fries were as crunchy and crispy as anything while others had a good crisp and good interior fluff. The coleslaw was very creamy and had a good crunch, topped with a cajun-esque powder seasoning on top.

Daily specials and items that are sold out are displayed on a large blackboard, so it makes things communicated and readable.

Very contemporary interior, 40 occupants maximum. The washroom was as clean as can be and smelled wonderful. Service was good, though waitstaff easily get tied up with other tables, so it can be a bit slow.

Not often do we get to without 5 stars in all categories. The food is simply delicious, especially the baked beans, yummy! We sat at the bar and enjoyed conversation, felt the vibe, and enjoyed sumptuous food. Don’t hesitate, put One Ward Smokehouse & Brewery on your must dine at list. Disappointment. Doesn’t. Live. The place is very very nice. The food is amazing! Best smoked meat! Looking forward to try their beer when they start brewing. Will come back for sure!!

Stopped in after a round of golf. First time visit. Food was good, so was the beer selection. Plan to try it again.

Disappointing lunch. Meat was cooked well but dry and flavourless. Great portion of fries but a smokehouse is all about the meat. Pricy meal for what we got.
Also, draught options are a bit limited. The place is not a brewery 'yet' according to the waitress. Patio was small and lacked aesthetic appeal - view of septic covers and the parking lot.
Overall, an overpriced and lackluster experience.

This place is amazing, never disappoints. All the food is great. The owner also goes above and beyond for each of her guests every time. Will keep coming back.

went for an unexpected late lunch today. food and service were amazing!! its a small place and super friendly we met several other customers and staff over lunch that we chatted with while we were there. we got the 2 meat 2 sides which was brisket, ribs, Mac and cheese and fries. we shared it and we were not able to finish it. meats were perfectly smoked fries and Mac and cheese were so good!! Definitely would recommend ward one if you're looking great smokehouse food!

Had 4 different varieties of smoked meat on Saturday. All delicious!! We had the ribs sauced & naked. Naked my favorite ? also had the pulled pork & brisket. Brisket was absolutely delicious & for someone who is not a fan of pulled pork it was GOOD! Thank you so much! Looking forward to trying the smoked chicken another day!
