Stopped by here today, best brisket I've had in a long time, the ribs were spot on too. Coleslaw was a little week, but everything else was too notch

The Brisket was perfect. Beautiful back well seasoned. Great smoke on the meat and not over powering. The beans are awesome great flavor. Excellent fries. We will return again and again. Can't wait for the brewery to start.

If you're into BBQ and smoked meats, Ward One Smokehouse & Brewery is definitely worth checking out. We stopped by and grabbed a couple of takeout meals, and honestly, the food was solid.
First off, the pulled pork sandwich was stacked and juicy, with just the right amount of sauce – not drowning, but still packed with flavor. The bun held everything together nicely, which is a plus when you're dealing with saucy meat. The brisket sandwich was just as impressive – thick slices of tender, smoky brisket with that nice bark on the outside. No dryness, just rich flavor all the way through.
The fries? Crispy, seasoned, and clearly made fresh. None of that frozen stuff. They were the kind you keep eating even after you’re full.
The portion sizes are generous too, so you’re getting your money’s worth. We also noticed everything came packed neatly. it traveled well and still tasted great.
The building itself looks clean and welcoming, and you can tell it's a local spot with care put into both the food and the vibe. We’ll definitely be back, and next time we’re eating in – curious to try the brewery side too.
Simple verdict: tasty food, good portions, worth a stop.

An amazing quaint spot for smoked beef brisket, Mac n’ cheese… everything on the menu looked great. It is definitely worth the stop between Guelph and Fergus!

Sadly disappointed we both had beef brisket and it was dry and cold the coleslaw had no taste the best thing of the whole meal was the French fries which is a sad thing for a smokehouse the meat should be the number one priority.

First off, FOH crew is well trained and very kind. I was a little disappointed with the food though. Flavour was absolutely there and very tasty, but the pulled pork especially was very very dry, while the brisket was leaning towards it. Nice decor (maybe a tad too bright for a smokehouse/brewery vibe), but was very clean and the view into the kitchen is a nice touch to tell the customer there’s nothing to hide. This place is pretty new so definitely lots of room for improvement, but overall it was a good experience and I will come again!

Just had a fantastic lunch at Ward One! Shared 2 meat 2 side platter and it was plenty - was itching to try their other meats and sides though. Salad with goat cheese, beets and pecans was super - esp the spicy candied pecans. The pulled pork was flavourful and the brisket exceptionally tender and the crusty edge was very tasty. Excellent service (no long wait) and vibe.

This place is a hidden gem. Loved the atmosphere. They had a few craft beers on tap which was a plus for me. Food is fantastic! I highly recommend the ribs with the signature BBQ sauce. The corn bread is delicious as well.
They are in the process of setting up their brewing equipment, so soon they will have house crafted beers to add to the menu in the fall. I look forward to beer tasting here.

Hands down one of the best smokehouses around, in my top three with The Lancaster and Camp31. Pulled pork is my #1

Very nice bbq place. The food is excellent, I had the brisket sandwich which was smoky, moist and flavourful. Had the Alabama white sauce on the side which I was glad. My wife had the Goat Cheese and Beet Salad with beans as a side. Nice to see the vegetarian options were not just a “side salad” option.
