We ordered catering for an event, everything was delicious. There was a food allergy that our team failed to communicate prior, when I I arrived I let them know and they were so nice and fixed it right away despite it being our mistake. Really appreciate the care and how easy it was to order and pick, great option for events.

Ok...If you follow me, you know I don't give 5 star reviews because I always believe that there is always room for improvement. But I gave this place a 5 star rating because of what they are doing for the less fortunate. The prices for good food is extremely low but they give you an option of paying it forward with a cute button paying option. Each button is 1 dollar and others who can't afford a meal can pay for their meal with this button program. Staff makes everyone so comfortable, even when people pay with buttons. This is such an amazing place surrounded by good hearted people. I absolutely love this place and will stop in, every chance I can get. We ordered 2 BLT sandwiches and 2 delicious cookies. A must try when you are in the neighborhood. Great job beautiful people helping run this place

Since discovering this gem on Barton Street, I have visited many times and have brought different friends and family members each time so I can share this beautiful place with them. A warm, friendly vibe awaits you as soon as you walk through the door into a bright, open space. They offer delicious breakfast and lunch items at a price you just can’t beat. Their full breakfast is so yummy and their BLT sandwich & lattes are the best I’ve had. However, besides their delicious food, what also keeps me coming back is their pay-it-forward button system. The fact that I can help a person or two have a bite to eat when otherwise they may not have anything to eat that day warms my heart. Do yourself a favour and visit this amazing place at 541 Barton St. E. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Food quantity is changing with costs, and Rainbow Flag reflects Anglican leaning, denominations of staff, volunteers, perhaps funding.

I forgot to transfer the buttons I bought in the other jar I hope the manager can rectify that. Thanks.

The food is really tasty, fresh and excellent quality too, which just makes it so much better. There are vegetarian and vegan options too which is a major plus for me! I haven't been in a long time but I plan to visit soon. Thank you for what you do here, it really is a lovely pillar for the community, it is truly appreciated.

I have been relying on food banks and various food programs in Hamilton and as much as I appreciate them, they have all been unsafe and I even got food poisoning a couple weeks ago from it. It has really put me in a worse position I feel.
Someone told me about 541 eatery yesterday and we met here today and I swear to god this place is a breath of fresh air for anyone needing to eat but wants to feel "normal".
This place is setup like a really nice coffee shop. Not a single person there (employee or guest) was rude or had any issue. The place has a very good vibe.
I got an egg breakfast sandwich and it was only $4! I could have gotten a full breakfast for $8. This is now my go to spot for grabbing breakfast or lunch. Once I get a job back and am in a better spot, I will still come here as a paying customer and even pay everything forward and help keep it running.
If anyone is wondering how it works... if you visit and are not able to afford food, dont be ashamed. They have a jar at the front counter full of clothing buttons. Each button is worth $1. Just grab a few buttons and your meal is covered. That's it.
I swear, every other food bank and food program in Hamilton should take notes from this place. Night and day difference. These guys know how to run a successful helpful business. Thank you.

Your place attracts unusual high number of homeless in this area ,my car was broken into things had been stolen ,homeless roaming this area at night, its not safe ,perhaps you should make them pay full price or move restaurant elsewhere ,or shut it down ,comunity has enough.
