Terrible service, terrible food. Not sure why people still eat here.
Just an excellent greasy spoon dinner!
waited 40 minutes only to be told they had one cook and we still would have to wait. They were in the process of doing over 50 overtime meals for Dofasco. Also they have a waitress walking around with her boobs falling out of her shirt...Definitely not appropriate! We left , they didn't charge us for the 2 coffees. I will definitely not go back!
Breakfast was excellent. I had Fred's Feast and there was plenty there. Good food, good service, good procey. I'll be back!
I ordered breakfast - eggs sunny side up with bacon and toast. Eggs were hard, toast was barely toasted and was cold (butter did not melt at all). My grandson ordered a kids meal that comes with dessert. After waiting over ten minutes after finished our meal, the waitress brought our bill but did not even ask what dessert my grandson wanted. The waitress did not ask if we wanted refills on our drinks. I am usually a very good tipper but left no tip this time. Service and food were not good at all. It is very unfortunate as I have enjoyed Bedrock Bistro in the past.
Worse service every time. Terrible. Wait half an hour to get your order taken and 5 other people in here. Ridiculous
* Table accommodation request (away from people) was granted upon arrival but felt that we were still in a high traffic area. * Server was effective-nothing spectacular but was fine. *Eggs peameal home fries and coffee was average to good. Portions on the larger side! * Good valve and it is seemed they had a very popular take out option. * A restaurant where there are lots of Regulars----a good thing!
As true Hamiltonians, we have visited Bedrock Bistro for many years, have had wonderful meals and had got to know the staff as friendly people. We recently visited the restaurant, as it is under new ownership now, the good was decent though the prices have definitely changed; my mother and I used to be able to share a meal for around $12, with the exact same meal coming to $23 now... though times are changing in terms of pricing everywhere. On another note, the customer service is terrible!! the old staff is no longer there from what we can see, with the new staff literally walking away as we're ordering, as if they have more important things to be doing. We are not people who complain but we were very close to it recently. The comforting atmosphere is definitely gone. We start to look for different breakfast restaurants in Hamilton.
I took my two adult sons' here for breakfast. We all order the exact same thing (FREDS FEAST). Everything was hot and delicious. All three of us agreed that the home fries were the best we've ever had. Servers were super pleasant and attentive. Will definitely be back!
I have been going to this restaurant for years and years and absolutely love it every time.. The past 3 times we went there has been totally awful. The first time, we were served crepes that were freezing cold and tasted like they were packed and not fresh. The second time we ordered the liver and onions because they made the best and the best gravy ever, but this time, The mashed potatoes were like hard lumpy glue and the gravy was so gross we couldn't east it... Last night, we went and we ordered the cabbage rolls and salad.. OMG, The cabbage rolls were like dog food, not to mention they were cold. Took mine home and my dog wouldn't even eat them.. As far as the service.. SUCKED. She couldn't remember to bring anyone their drinks, I finally got my drink have way into the meal.. I don't know what happened to this place but in my opinion it really has gone down hill..

The Bedrock is our neighborhood restaurant as we do not live far away and can walk there. I am not one to leave any sort of review but I felt that our experience tonight warranted it. Food and service is normally always great at the Bedrock. However this time that was not the case. Sometimes only one dish that comes can have an issue but this time all 6 of us did not enjoy our meals at all. My chicken tetrazzini was basically a soup. The gravy in another meal was tasteless. The chicken in the chicken souvlaki tasted like it was freezer burnt then reheated. There were only 3 servers working on a Friday at dinner time which made it hard to get attention for anything. We waited 40 minutes to get our bill and had to get up to ask for it. After sitting back down we waited another 20 minutes for her to come for us to pay. The service was not what we usually get at the bistro. We will not be going back again
Had breakfast there for the first time since March. It was great that they now have a patio. The food was great and the staff was wonderful. I would highly recommend this place.
This restaurant has been around for many years. We decided to try it again. Tonight i had chicken fajhitas, and it was delicious. My husband had an omelette and home fries and toast for dinner. Also very good he said. The portions are plentiful and the servers are very friendly. We would return again. Apparently they have a huge brontasourus burger. It is supposed to be gigantic. Go with a big appetite. You will need it,. Worth the drive from Dundas
Went in for dinner and were seated right away and staff were friendly. I ordered the soup of the day instead of fries. When my meal came to the table I ended up with fries anyways. I started to dress my burger when the head waitress came to my table and told me she had to take the fries back off my plate or she would have to charge me for them. Cross-contamination at its finest. I would never eat here again. the salad was not shopped it was ripped and throwing in with big pieces of lettuce that you could not fit in your mouth.
Date of Visit: Sunday, October 27, 2019 (dinner) After driving around for a while looking for a place to eat, someone said: "down the street, there is a restaurant that has been there forever - Let's try it" So, Bedrock Bistro it is. I was not sure what to expect, but there were a lot of people in the restaurant, so I assumed it couldn't be too bad. I ordered the steak special, which came with potato and veggies. The steak arrived and it was huge - and properly cooked. It was Well seasoned and well flavoured. The vegetables were corn and peas, and they were very fresh, bright, and NOT overcooked. The baked potato was also perfectly cooked. I was very pleasantly surprised by the freshness of ingredients, the proper cooking, and the flavour. My husband had the chicken fajitas and they were perfectly done - Maybe the The service was decent, and the prices were reasonable. This is a great little place to enjoy a good meal. It is easy to overlook the Flintstones bistro but, seriously. - it exceeded all of my expectations. Just go and eat here. You won't be disappointed.
