Cafeteria style "Calenderia" restaurant with filipino pantry items for sale. The homemade ube hopia and mongo hopia was delish!Update:I went in on a Friday around 1130am and my Kare- kare, and Chicken curry was very hot and delicious, crisp green beans and tasty eggplant. Didn't get sick. They also had so much Bangus, spring rolls, & bbq sticks, but didn't try this time. $13.99 for 2 items plus lots of rice or pansit. Go early! Parking is on a diagonal off of Queen.

September 11th 2023I finished shopping at the grocery store across the street and thought I’d pop in and grabbed something quick for snack.I grabbed a halo halo dessert and a pork empanadas 3 for 5$.Currently I am having non-stop diarrhea and upset stomach.I noticed that the foods has been probably sitting there for 2,3 days but out of the connivence I decided to grab it anyways. This place needs a serious change of ownership and chefs and everything all around. I am quite surprised at how the place still stay open.I would advice new comers and local residents to stay clear of this one for now.

I ordered a fried pork belly and accidentally got the fried fish which I do not eat.. the lady was sweet and she got me a pork belly without any charge.. the fried pork belly here is amazing and they’ve got a loyal customer from here on.

Sometimes their food are not freshly cooked. Several times we bought a food from this place and ended up throwing it (rather waste the money than be in a hospital). Some of it are nearly spoiled some are a day old. No doubt they must have reheated the food or put in the fridge and serve it again the next day. We just let it go at times and sometimes we call them but usually reasons out it's newly cooked (of course!). Also, chicken pieces like their chicken curry are mostly backbone part that barely have chicken meat on it. I don't usually write reviews, I'd prefer to let the business owners or their employees know if I have some comments or feedback whether positive or negative to the quality of services they offer. But this happened over and over, it's too much and it's enough. I also read a similar review over a year ago from this place and points out same quality issues of food.It makes me feel at home having food I have grown to love with but I'm very disappointed how the food quality is compromised just to keep the business running or earning for that matter. You have to shape up! Filipinos are better than this! Your customers, especially your Filipino customers deserve better.

Stopped by a few time for some halo halo but they never had it until the last time I went! It was very pricey (almost $10) but yummy as a treat.

My wife and I were in town to attend a wedding in December 2022. She is Filipino and of course we had to find a Filipino restaurant. She found Adobo Queen on Google Maps, not realizing it was definitely not the closest Filipino restaurant from our hotel. We ended up driving right through downtown Hamilton. Not too big of a deal, but it was dark and we are from Ohio and driving in large, unfamiliar cities is not my favorite pastime for sure. Anyway, we followed the GPS to the Adobo Queen location. Upon arrival, my wife was excited to see the various foods behind the glass and eagerly picked out several items for us to take back to the hotel. Unfortunately, the food was not worth the trip. My wife said it was not prepared properly and did not measure up to her expectations. I also tried a few things as well and found everything to be rather bland, and in a few cases either overcooked or undercooked. Maybe we just got them on a bad night, but nothing we tried was up to par :(

Was in the city and was really missing Filipino food. Adobo queen was one of the few Filipino spots in Hamilton. I can highlight the bbq and the pancit. The other few needed some work, felt like it wasn’t cooked same day. But overall, give it an in between rating

A nice quaint spot for some Filipino treats with some house made favorites made to order, and also readily available. Their selection has grown and we no longer need to drive out to Mississauga for certain things. The quality of their catered food has always been good. We often order parties and family dinners.
