I always have great and diverse food when I go there. They have the best meat and sushi! The service is quite fast and the staff is nice. This is my official favourite restaurant!!! I highly recommend it!!!

February 17 2026 me and my family went out for dinner to August 8 on upper James Hamilton we had a nice night the food looked good I had no idea that things were gonna get Bad we got home that same night we all got food poisoning we got so sick it was horrible and I also wanna mention that the kitchen was not clean when me and my daughter went to go use the restroom we looked in to see the kitchen I give 0/10 for the restaurant just a horrible time don’t recommend it

We went for Valentines Day, and the food was fresh and delicious. Our server, Kelvin, went above and beyond despite how busy it was in the restaurant. There were a few hiccups with the iPad and kitchen service that he attended to and smoothed over quickly. We had a wonderful evening, thank you Kelvin!

August 8 is consistently a solid choice for sushi and dim sum in the area. The food is always fresh and tasty, and as you can see from the photo, the variety is excellent. I find the price to be decent for an all-you-can-eat spot. Portions are generous and the service is efficient. Definitely a reliable spot when you're craving a big sushi feast!

My friend and I went for the dinner AYCE during the weekend. It was a bit busy but the service was excellent. We loved the Strawberry Soju Mojito and the cheese wontons for sure! Will go back again another time.

After finishing our meal I asked about doing some takeout so I can take some to my grandparents. They said it’s policy that they have to charge me a 15$ takeout fee since I just ate, that is beyond unacceptable. Since when does ordering takeout require a 15$ fee?
