Had a great time and enjoyed the entire meal. Our server was Brittany and she was the highlight of our night, amazing service.

The food and atmosphere were great but the service was lacking. Drinks took quite a while to arrive and the server was less than attentive and even after writing the orders down didn't know who ordered what.

It’s been awhile since we’ve been. But it will be much sooner the next time. The food was absolutely fantastic. Their food is second to none. The value is so good. The staff wonderful. We have a daughter with special needs and needed a bit of accommodation. They were patient and kind even with a spilled cola. Thank you as it was my birthday and enjoyed this dinner better than any I have done in a very long time. We go out weekly but Black Forest will be more frequent. Hayley our server was outstanding. Thank you Hayley. Thank you Black Forest. See you soon.

I went to Germany for 3 days on business and every night went out hoping to have a real German schnitzel dinner. When I got home I came here to The Black Forest Inn for my real best in the world schnitzel dinner. This place is literally my favorite restaurant in the world. If I could I would eat here every night.

I had heard a lot of good things about this restaurant, and I was very excited to finally give it a try. Especially after having spent a couple years living in Germany, I couldn’t wait to eat what I thought was going to be authentic German food. I didn’t think schnitzel was really hard to mess up… I have made and eaten many a schnitzel in my lifetime, and I regret to say that the one I had here was the worst- it was unnecessarily greasy! The only flavour it had was oil. Same with the spaetzle, way too oily, and way too eggy. I felt like I was eating scrambled eggs. I wonder if the cooks/recipes have changed because I can’t comprehend how anyone would give this 5 stars as it currently is. Otherwise the service was nice and the atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely, I felt like I was in Germany…. until I ate the food.

The server's attitude came across as condescending, especially when I asked for a side of soup and she seemed annoyed because I was confused about how the menu worked, she was actually pretty aggressive. While she got a bit better later, it felt like she was just trying to cover up her initial rudeness. Now, onto the food: the cabbage rolls tasted like they were straight from M&M Meat Shop, lacking any real flavor. The Goulash was like something out of a can of Campbell's beef stew, not what I expected at all. The Schnitzel, made from pork, was dry as a bone. And the rice? It seemed like it had been reheated and had lost all its freshness. To top it off, when we asked for more bread, we were told they were rationed. Even worse, when I offered to pay for extra bread, they still refused. Despite the slight improvement in service later on, the whole experience left a lot to be desired, which is why I felt compelled to leave this review.

I have been going to the Black Forest for over 50 years, and it never fails me. Moving an hour away has not stopped me!The food and service is ,always great. The only disappointment I had on the weekend was I'm sad to say was the dessert changes.

Great Bavarian experience, food has always been consistently excellent, servers too. Best schnitzle and spaetzle in town. Goulash is superb. Can't go wrong, affordable and delicious.Kid-friendliness: Great place for Sunday dinner. Kids are welcome at BFI. We often order the family of 4 dinner special for delivery too, cheaper than fast food with side and salad. Food travels better than other takeout for pick up or Skip.
