I really love taking my dog here, the dog treats are superb, the staff are great, vibes are immaculate, and there’s enough room for large dogs to play unlike other dog cafes aimed towards small dogs. The only reason why they’ve lost a star from me is because I never get to go due to them only being open one day a week. I would love to be able to take my dog here on weekday evenings when the sun sets so early

Before the new owner took over I had nothing but wonderful things to say! I used to be there once weekly or more. When you walked in you felt like you were in an episode of Cheers...Jim and Jess knew your dogs name! The food was never great but it was a time for the dogs to have fun.

Now, it feels pretentious. I dont know any regulars who go anymore. Its a shame because it was such a warm and inviting place. Now it feels cold. Its clear that dogs are more of a nuisance than a welcome guest.

Its a real shame to see what's happened to this business. Its a shame that the new owner didnt start from scratch somewhere rather than ruin one of hamiltons treasures.

So disappointing that the original owner chose to sell. The new owner seems solely focused on her health-food catering business and not on the dogs. They’re only open on Sundays now, I’m guessing so she can focus on her food service — which, honestly, doesn’t even look good. Such a waste of a wonderful concept, and it really doesn’t feel like they’re dog people at all!

Such a shame to see how such an innovative, fun concept got ruined so quickly.

We used to bring our dog here all the time to socialize and play, but seeing how the new owner has completely disregarded dogs to solely promote her food business is disappointing to say the least. No employee supervises the dogs, so fights can (and have) occur and dogs pee on the floor with no staff intervention. Reducing the hours to only Sundays and with no flexibility further put the nail in the coffin for us.

There is no more sense of community - it’s now just another cafe with no focus on dogs as advertised or promised. I’ll echo another reviewer - we don’t want overpriced food and cold plunges - we want an indoor place for dogs to play and socialize.

It used to be our favorite place to go with our dog because it was a dog café but the new owner Nina has no respect for the existing customers and dogs and she ruined the existing dog café. The café is now open only on Sundays, she doesn't even say Hi when she sees you. the place is a mess, dirty and we received mouldy dog biscuits multiple times. The food and pastries have No taste or too salty and overpriced. Sorry Nina you ruined this business! Not even deserve 1 star!!

If you haven’t checked out Be Cafe & Barkery (previously “Bring Your Dog Cafe”) under its new management, you’re missing out! The new owner has done an incredible job revamping the place. Not only is it the perfect spot to hang out with your furry friend, but it’s also now a haven for healthy and delicious food—for both humans and dogs!

The new menu is thoughtfully crafted, offering nutritious and enjoyable options that cater to dog owners and their pups. The attention to detail is amazing, from the quality of ingredients to the welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.

My pups and I love stopping by—it’s such a treat knowing I can indulge in something tasty while ensuring my dog gets to play. You can truly feel the love and care that’s gone into making this space so special and I feel like it’s only getting better.

Highly recommend for a fun, feel-good outing with your four-legged best friend! Bonus: the food is delish, nourishing and the menu is amazing—everything is made with quality ingredients and designed to be as intolerance-friendly as possible. Whether you or your pup have specific dietary needs, there’s something for everyone to enjoy without worry.

I want to love this place, but I just don’t.

We used to come here one or two times a week with the pups.
It was always so warm, welcoming and a great place to hang.

I don’t know what to feel about the new ownership.
They no longer serve you - you have to look at a board and stand there. The staff aren’t friendly at all. They can see you standing there but won’t help you unless you ring the bell. They literally look like they don’t want to be there.

No one comes out to ask you how your food is - there’s literally no staff present.

The owner seems nice, but she’s barely present.
They seem horribly disorganized.
I think we got spoiled with the old owner. He was very into the customers, knew all the dogs names, posted to social media - served us at the tables.
He was very responsive.

The menu now has like 5 things on it -
And forget it if you’re vegetarian. Theres nothing there for you anymore

I’m sad with how this turned out. We were looking forward to fresh new owners and a revamped menu but 👎
What a loss

I loved coming here before the change in ownership. The menu is very limited now, you are no longer served, I couldn't get a bag of chips to go with my chai tea. It's a lovely rare warm day and I came counting on using the patio. Instead, the patio was booked for a photoshoot of a dog. The former owner had the savvy to book photoshoots at times which are not peak times. I'm very disappointed. So is my dog. I left without ordering.
