Ordered an orange chicken for takeout. The portion size was really big. Chicken was well flavoured. I would try it again and would recommend it for takeout.

We have ordered from here many tomes in the last 2 yrs. Usually pretty good. The last 2-3 times we’ve ordered it’s been “ok” however this last order was not good. Tasteless sauce on dishes, thenmixed vegetables were awful and bitter. Ordered the wonton chips that were very dark and were like crumbs. Something has changed there, and the consistency has gone downhill. Very bland now.

I rarely ever leave negative reviews, but this experience was so bad that it deserves to be shared.

I placed a phone order for a combo for one with chicken balls, plain fried rice, and plain noodles. The young man taking the order asked if I wanted an egg roll, and I requested a veggie spring roll since I am vegetarian.

When I got home and opened my food, I found:

• The “veggie” spring roll was stuffed with pork and shrimp.
• The “plain” fried rice had chicken in it.

When I called back, instead of apologizing or trying to make it right, the so-called manager was unbelievably rude. She berated me to “read the menu” and insisted it was my fault. I explained that I hadn’t planned on ordering a spring roll at all until it was offered on the phone, so I had no chance to research their menu. If I ask for a veggie spring roll and they don’t have one, it’s common sense to say so—not just give me pork and shrimp.

As for the rice, she had no explanation. Her only solution? For me to scoop the rice back into a container, drive all the way back, and exchange it. When I asked if she could just issue a credit for next time, she refused. She then offered was $1 off. I told her to keep it.

The final straw? She hung up on me.

So here’s the review: food was wrong, customer service was worse, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Unless, of course, you enjoy being lied to, insulted, and served mystery meat when you ordered vegetarian.

I will never order from here again—and I’d strongly recommend you don’t either.

We tried Canton for the first time today, at the recommendation of a friend. We had plans to try another Chinese restaurant and were very. much looking forward to that so it it a testimony to this recommendation that we switched destinations.
We ordered dinners for one - a Combo 4, a 5, and a 7. The portions are very generous, the food is fresh, outstanding flavours. Special attention must be paid to the egg rolls that are amazing. Rolled, rather than folded, I suspect they are prepared fresh.
Great value, excellent flavours! This may be our new place!

Lots has changed since my review 6 yrs ago. The last 2 times I ordered from Canton we were all disappointed. The food went downhill. Every item we ordered was subpar. Sadly we’ll be looking for another Chinese take out venue.

Heard about this place from a friend and they did not disappoint. I’m always wary to try different chinese take out because they can all be so different, but this place really surprised me. We placed a large order of chicken balls, chicken fried rice, soo guy almond, Singapore rice, and some combination plates and everything was super good! The chicken balls could do with a little more chicken inside to even out the batter to chicken ratio, but you get a lot of chicken balls in one order and they’re very tasty. Out of the four of us, we all agreed we would order from here again.

Orange beef, general Tao, beef and broccoli, spring roll, wonton soup, chicken fried rice

Orange beef and general Tao were a soggy mess. Beef and broccoli just tasted like salt. The wonton soup was extremely old so much that the wontons were soggy. The spring roll was massive but just full of bean sprouts.

All in all, not a good way to spend $80. Try banh mi n rice instead!

I usually order take out from here and have not had a problem until now. I went there on April 26th 2025 and got take out order of veggie fried rice. Once I got towards the bottom of the container I noticed an insect that looks like a burnt bee or a fly. I called the restaurant to let them know what had taken place and was not asking anything in return and the lady on the other end immediately told me that the burnt insect must have came from my home, which is incorrect and incredibly disappointing. She only took accountability once I told her the city would be contacted

Saved my New Year’s Eve! They were so great, food was ready for me to pick up on my way home, great food, great price and great service. Always a good sign when the line is moving efficiently and appeared to be locals.
