The oatmeal cookies were, well, not oatmeal enough, too mealy. The butter tarts were very very soft with way too thick of a soft crust and a runny filling. I'm being generous with 3 stars.

Had a great time with my family last weekend during apple picking. Staff was very friendly and the signage letting you know which apples were good for eating, baking etc. were very helpful.
We also stopped by he bakery and the country apple pie was delicious.
A visit to Carluke Orchards is likely going to become a yearly tradition for our family

Perfect little shop to pick up yummy baked goods, apples and treats. Apple picking in the fall is also great here. Lots of varieties of apples to pick and not over crowded like a lot of other orchards.

Update The owner contacted us directly to look into the issue with our pies and are making an effort to insure the bottomless crust is not an issue moving forward She was very open and courteous and eager to resolve our issue. We will definitely give them another chance.
"Used to be the best pies anywhere. Now they're overpriced and the last two pecan pies we've bought didn't even have a bottom crust. What are we paying for? Very disappointed"
Best part was picking your own apples so many different kinds, pies are delicious and mouth watering, Carmel apples were phenomenal!! Love this place.

Was a great outing for the family! Little expensive, but you are paying mostly for the experience rather than just a 10lb bag of apples at the local market. Wish the apple rows were better labelled and / or there were maps of the orchard for clearer ideas of what exactly you were picking. Loved the trolley idea, the mini wagons were super cute and made lugging around the bags of apples much easier! Would highly recommend for those who do not care too much about which apples they are gathering! That being said, some of the best apple crisps and pies I've eaten were a mix-match of apple types 😉
