Carmens Event Centre

We did our wedding recently here and we couldn’t be happier and more grateful with our experience at Carmen’s Wedding Venue. From start to finish, the service packages, professionalism of the staff and the planning procedure was truly outstanding. Everyone was incredibly professional, detail-oriented, and supportive, making the whole planning process and the wedding day feel smooth and as easy as it can be :D.

A special thank you to Dianna (Maître-D), Terrance, and Crystal, whose dedication, attention to detail, and genuine care made such a difference. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect and that we felt supported every step of the wedding day.

We are especially very grateful to Dominica, who helped us bring our wedding vision to life and truly made our special day a reality. Her creativity, professionalism, sense of humor ;), Gatorade supply :D , and commitment were invaluable.

Finally, a huge acknowledgment and heartfelt appreciation to Charlie for all the help and support from the very day we decided to have our wedding at Carmen’s all the way through to the big day itself. His kindness, professionalism and support meant so much to us.

Carmen’s is an exceptional venue with an amazing team, and we are so thankful to have trusted them with one of the most important days of our lives.

Nice venue .Staff were polite and efficient .Sound was great .Easy parking .Prices were reasonable

We were there on Friday for stelco party 700 ppl and the food was not acceptable really. The chicken had blood still running the 2 sprigs of broccoli was stringy the 1 carrot was tasteless the 3 half of small potatoes were El donte buns were good and salad was just lettuce and dressing came in gravy boat everything was plated except the beef and it wasn't anything outstanding. Tiramsu foe dessert. So all in all the food was 2 star

At Carmen's for a Christmas celebration with the great folks at Stelcos 1005 annual Xmas dinner and dance. The food was certainly quality fare and there was lots offered. No one went hungry! Excellent meal and servers were working hard to keep up with food and clearing tables. Carmen's should know better than not having enough staff on the floor to keep food and dishes moving for 700 people. Bar service was great but prices a little high. An excellent night!

We recently hosted a family wedding at Carmen’s Event Centre and the experience was outstanding from beginning to end. Andy and Dominica were incredible throughout the entire logistics process. They were patient, organized, and truly went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of.

On the wedding day, the entire team on floor was so accommodating and supportive. We felt genuinely cared for, and everything flowed beautifully and on time. Our guests had nothing but amazing things to say about the service and the overall atmosphere.

This is truly the best venue in Hamilton. We are so glad we chose Carmen’s for such a special occasion and would highly recommend them to anyone planning an event. 🤍

I'm a very easy to please guy so I don't have complaints but as an event manager who held a community event at this location tonight, I must say the service was very bad because the company is very stingy and cheap. We paid $6000 to book a hall and we're served juice boxes and cans of pop (which staff eventually removed) and the food was very basic such as pasta noodles and baked potatoes served on paper plates (see image, this is food we took home with their paper plate). Then, the staff took away the food as soon as everyone took just one plate while there was food left to be served and some volunteers and guests had not gotten their food yet. Staff supervisor said that their team is only paid to work till 8:30pm when our booking ends but everyone knows that staff stays behind after your event not just cut service the minute you reach the end of your booking time. I'd stay away from Carmens catering services if they will be so cheap and not provide better accommodations and actually pay their staff for doing their job and working to accommodate our needs.

I’ve been attending events at Carmen’s Banquet Hall for nearly 25 years, and I’ve always had positive experiences. However, my recent visit to a charitable school fundraiser left me quite disappointed.
The event started about 30-40 minutes late, which is understandable in a fundraising context. However, the timing and the venue’s closing time created several issues. By the time guests began to get their food, we noticed that there were no water bottles or jugs on the tables. Moreover, once everyone had received their food, the staff quickly removed the remaining dishes, leaving no opportunity for seconds. I personally only had the salad and wanted to return for the main course, but it was already gone.
When I spoke to the staff, they mentioned that the venue was closed, which was quite disheartening. It’s unusual to experience such a lack of hospitality, especially at a long-standing venue like Carmen’s.
I hope Carmen’s takes this feedback into consideration and ensures that future events run more smoothly and that guests are well taken care of until the very end.

Amazing venue! Hector made our first venue tour an unforgettable one. His hospitality and generosity are the reason we chose Carmen’s to host our wedding!

The menu did not match what was given. It was really disappointing. We ordered the vegetarian option and got nothing but vegetables. There were no chickpeas, so no plant based protein.

For anyone who is thinking of going to Carmen's for there wedding. I'd highly recommend you do.

They truly made the entire process smooth and without at any time, did they make us feel uncertain.

From the minute we walked in and meet Kathy, who is truly a gem, as she was always so pleasant and welcoming to speak to. Meeting with Andy and him going over the packages and ensuring they were able to meet our wishes for our special day. Dominica, who was there every step of the way, reviewing the details and making sure it was what we wanted. Diana, who was with us the day of our wedding, adding such a relaxing touch but making sure all was well. To our actual wedding day, to all the servers, especially Terrance, Mike and Kara, at the bar and everyone at Carmens who just made our day so wonderful.

We have heard nothing but compliments from our family and friends - the food was delicious, drinks were good, venue was beautiful.

So once again, we thank you Carmen's.
