The most unorganized wedding I have ever attended . At last minute the staff decided lets move it inside, where the tables all had to be moved, then chairs set up. The invited guest had an over hour and a bit wait. Standing in lobby, yes that is correct STANDING, nothing to drink because they would not open the bar even for water, even though bar is in lobby. Some guest chose to leave. We did not begin dinner in till 9:15 3:45 invitation says dinner to follow.

My wife and I went to the New Year's Eve celebration and had a great time. The assistant manager, Mkko I believe, was extremely accommodating and a great help throughout the evening.

We had a wonderful wedding experience at Carmen's and we couldn't be more thankful for all the help and support they gave our wedding day in October of 2023. If you’re looking for an all-inclusive, I urge you to check out this venue. Food, bar, decor, planning, staging, ceremony, DJ, cake, requests, they do it all, including your honeymoon suite next door!We booked the Milano ballroom (middle) in early 2021 for our wedding. Carmen's dealt with some internal changes from Covid, so we did go through a couple of planners at the time but they all kept meticulous records and we never had to worry. Someone always answered my millions of emails promptly and worked with all my silly requests. For the price point we paid per head, we could NOT have found a better deal. The final planner we had, Taylor, was absolutely amazing and she loved that we planned to have an "Emo Hour". The food was fantastic and I still have guests telling me how much they enjoyed it months later. Our selection included food at cocktail hour, salad, lasagna, chicken and steak, brownies for dessert, and then delicious wedding cake, poutine, and mac & cheese around 11 pm. Our vegan guests also raved about their plate. We had two signature cocktails: one alcoholic and one mocktail as I and some guests do not drink which I found so sweet of them to offer to do. The open bar was a huge hit! Do not miss the menu tasting either, such fun!The décor was sublime, I had a very specific moody/glitzy look in my head and they pulled it off beautifully. Sequin linen, blacks and reds, gold to match the chandeliers and I upgraded to a sequin gold backdrop. We had a kids' candy table. They set up all my bubbles, papers, glow sticks, and everything came out so wonderful! Working with the florist (Sticks and Stones Florals) they truly brought the place to life.We very much lucked out because the ballroom beside us had access to an outside terrace and the event that was to be held there the same night was rescheduled. So Carmen's had set up that smaller ballroom for our ceremony and had completely decorated our main ballroom by the time we got there after our first look. This worked out so wonderfully because we were able to take family photos in the decorated ballroom (as it was raining outside) and it allowed us to have the ceremony space up and running and the lobby open for cocktail hour! As soon as our ceremony was over, we headed out to the terrace to take some bridal shots as the rain had cleared up and it was awesome! And then we got to use some of that indoor space for the photobooth so it wasn't overcrowded! We had so much room for 175 people, very comfortable. And last but not least, the staff!! The bar and waiters were very pleasant, the kitchen was excellent (judging by the food), the hotel next door was great, and our absolute two rockstars:Matt the DJ and Dominika the Maître'D!I was a little nervous using a DJ we hadn't had the chance to meet, but Matt let me text him a few days before the event and finalize some Spotify playlists that I was very specific and meticulous about. We had a very specific nerdy vibe we were going for during dinner, we had our Emo Hour, and it was also a multicultural wedding that needed English and Afghan music and he was so accommodating and great to talk to.Dominika was our rock the whole day. If you are lucky enough to get her the day of your wedding, just know you are in great hands. She checked in with us all the time, assured us everything would go off without a hitch and was just all around a wonderful person! We felt so much relief and relaxation knowing she was there taking care of everything, timing everything to perfection. We wanted to throw a stuffed animal instead of a bouquet and she even let us do that from the balcony (which was amazing and hilarious to watch lol). All in all, 5 ⭐'s to Carmen's and the whole team that was there with us that day, and leading up along the way. They are professional, exceptional, and super budget-friendly if you have a large

We have attended new yrs at Carmen’s a few times .. over the yrs we have seen changes and are not likely to return .. this yr you changed the band and that was an awesome change , the band was fantastic “ but “ they did not play till 2 am as advertised. Food food left alot to be desired , the beef was very good but served with a handful of toasted veg that were scarce and dry .. the desert was terrible !!! The midnight buffet was sliders ( no toppings). Pizza and cheap donuts .. for the price of the tickets you sure didn’t live up to your reputation..

Very disappointing! Went for St. Joe's Starry night Christmas ball. Dinner was awful. Chicken was under cooked and rubbery, beef was blue rare and sinewy, potatoes & broccoli were edible, 1 roasted carrot & piece of roasted pepper. Salad was brought out but had no plates as they took them away after the kraft dinner penne. Those who stayed for buffet, were all saying same thing, dinner was bad & hoping to get something to eat , they were starving, couldn't eat main dinner. Hors deurves served earlier but not many were available. Seemed like event was understaffed and underprepared. Pretty expensive for less than edible meal. Should offer a free redo to all that came to save face! Sorry all thumbs down.

Always had a great meal here, been here for Weddings, New Years Parties, Company Party, but I don’t know what happened this time the food was terrible vegetables not cooked, potatoes lumpy,Turkey was dry. No bread and butter plates.I was so disappointed in the meal, especially when you never had a bad meal here! Over 100 guests every one I talked to said the same thing.

It had been years since my last visit, and I recently attended Carmen's for a work conference. The venue is lovely and service staff were good.My only complaints were that the Bathrooms got a bit gross and weren't tended to, and I was a bit put off by the drink service. All soft drinks were placed on top of the bar counter, but despite seeing people helping themselves, I was told to wait to be served at the table. However, I was never offered any drinks other than water, and when I went back to the bar, all had been cleared. I was a but put off by that, especially because so many people has helped themselves and I was told no...miscommunication, I guess.Overall, Carmen's is a good place, possibly just a bit understaffed to handle multiple conference rooms at a time.

My baby shower was hosted at the Arlington Hotel last month and we had an amazing experience! Sabrina and then Anais were wonderful to work with. They were very flexible in their schedules to meet up with us in person to discuss the details of the day. Even though they had busy schedules with other larger events they always made us feel like a priority. They listened to everything we wanted and made sure every last detail of the day was perfect for us - the room set up, the decor, the menu and service. I strongly recommend the Arlington for events of all sizes and I look forward to working with them again in the future.
