Coop Wicked Chicken & Bar Hamilton

What’s happened to the Coop? The Gordon Ramsey in me was really disappointed with the presentation and the somewhat piddling sizes of the 5 chicken tenderloins I ordered. Mind you, some time has passed since I dined at the Coop, and at the Waterdown location, which sadly and mysteriously closed following our only visit, my recollection as reviewed by me some restaurants back was positively glowing. (Note the then and now pics I’ve posted of the same menus item.) What I really liked was the Nashville hot oil/sauce which I had no problem ordering on the side on previous visits, but for whatever reason this time it never arrived despite requesting it. I couldn’t muster the energy to persist. Yes, the beer is cold, the food is served hot, the service is fine, but overall, this visit was a giant ‘meh’ for me. Too bad - I want restaurants in Hamilton to succeed, but this past visit was a miss and I’ll look out for other options and return to the hits I know.

The chicken is good but the service at the coop is abysmal. Asked for a Diet Coke the girl didn’t bring it. After I mentioned it she added a rye to my bill that a friend had got and left cash on the table for. No conversation about it. One of the burgers we ordered had blue cheese on which we didn’t order. The table next to us was complaining as well. Not a fantastic experience.. staff needs work.

28 bucks for a over cooked chicken sandwich,a few frozen fries and 3.99 for a can of pop. New owners don't know what they had.

Service takes a while even when the restaurant is almost empty, chicken is overcooked, bland, and rushed. Also might have some of the worst fries ever.

**BEWARE**
First of all, NEVER ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN. It was my first time ordering from this restaurant through Uber eats we usually go for original shawarma. Everything on their menu was BOGO and it looked affordable so thought of buying from them but the food was awful.
From the very first bite, me and my family felt something was off but still we had some of it. The food had a taste of dirty oil some bad smell. From that night onwards my family had severe stomach upset( like really baaad),we went to doc with diarrhea and had to take medication. This is the first time I had experienced such an awful version of FOOD POISONING. IF ANYONE IS READING KINDLY DO NOT GO HERE OR ORDER FROM HERE.

When we were in Hamilton a few weeks ago we got some take out from The Coop! The service was fantastic, atmosphere was great . The food was tasty, filling for the dollar value the portions were good. I’d recommend this place in a heartbeat. They were welcoming towards my service dog which was appreciated.

It was my first time at The Coop stopping in for a drink (non-alcoholic) and something to eat, I had ordered a Sangria with no alcohol and substitute orange juice for pineapple juice due to a allergy of Oranges, as they also didn’t have a alcohol free drink menu, but was charged for alcohol. I had got a burger (asked for no tomato as I have a allergy and they put it on the burger anyways) and with my drink was charged around $40 - why I left no tip complete was asked to pay before I got my food. There was no respect, consideration for allergies, and when I had pointed it out I no service the rest of the time I was there even though I was the only person in the restaurant

Called and booked a group reservation for a hockey team. They shouldnt have accepted the reservation. We arrived at our scheduled time at 12:45, by 2:40 a few of our party still had not received their food. Drinks were missed, kids weren't fed, people didn't get to eat. Orders were taken sporadically. The servers were so frazzled (and maybe inexperienced) Had to get the drinks from the bar to the table on our own.
