Cowabunga Pizzeria - Take Out Only

I was visiting from out-of-town and a local recommended this place. WOW my expectations were surpassed. The pizza was delicious and the staff were great. I will make a point of stopping in when I am visiting Hamilton again!

I've stopped here x3 as a detour from Niagara, and each time they were out of dough. If you're always out, make more?

We had a very unpleasant experience here. We were five adults dining with an infant, yet the staff insisted on charging an 18% gratuity by counting the baby as a sixth person. When we questioned this, the staff member spoke extremely rudely and dismissively instead of explaining the policy professionally.
It’s unreasonable to count an infant as a paying guest, and the rude attitude made the situation even worse. Customer service matters just as much as food, and unfortunately this place failed badly on that front. We won’t be returning.

Horrible experience. I call 2 hours before to book reservations for 3 people, and I get told that the restaurant doesn’t do reservations and is on a first-come, first-served basis, which is completely fine and understandable. I also get told that the wait time for the time we wanted to book is around 10 minutes, so it shouldn’t be an issue. We drive an hour to the restaurant just to see a long line of people waiting and get told that the wait time is about an hour to an hour and a half by the hostess. Absolutely ridiculous! Complete waste of my time… Be transparent with your customers before having them drive an hour!

Best pizza ever halal pepperoni is 10/10!!!

Top notch pizza fares, halal options, and good eating. There’s a reason they’ve won so many awards. Their accolades are well earned. Staff is super helpful.

-1 star for parking options; despite it being a takeout only location, a few extra spots would be a welcome take for non local folks/those driving in during winter.

If you want the best pizza in hamilton, I suggest you go to Cowabunas. The pizza is consistent every time and on time they are so organized with their times it amazes me plus the quality of their pizza is the best

I called them on Tuesday December 23rd to place a take-out order for Friday December 26th at 1:30 (the order was for 2 large cheese pizzas, 2 lemon pepper hot boneless bite and 5 garlic dips). The guy on the phone took my order and told me it would be ready to pick-up Friday at 1:30 for their Upper Wellington location. I even called them back to add the 5 dips and the guy promised again it was all good and would be ready for under my name.

It is Friday, my friends went to grab the order and the store said there’s no order and they don’t even do the boneless bites there????? They called the other location and there’s also no order under my name there either???? Why would the guy not tell me the Upper Wellington location doesn’t have appetizers and how did they lose my order even though i called TWICE and was assured TWICE that my order would be good????

My friends came from Mississauga for this pizza because we hyped it up and then drove an additional 25 minutes away from my house to grab the food and now we have to place a different order for PIZZA ONLY and it will take another half an hour!!!!!!!

Tuff. Pizza is always good. Nothing crazy special when it comes to service and atmosphere, not in a bad way but just nothing crazy stood out. Highly recommend anything there!

Pizza was good, but honestly not sure how they are the world's best by any means... barely any cheese on the pizza, crust is different for sure, but could have been a bit thicker though, as it was paper thin. Taste was great but considering how it lacked in other areas left it missing that special something.

Definitely not worth a 1 hour wait, that's ridiculous.. it's a pizza, honestly no valid excuse why it takes so long, especially when it didn't even appear that busy...

So for a $30, 1 hour wait pizza, left me disappointed.

Pizza is okay, but I have a question for your team. I think its great that beard nets are worn but why is there always one person not wearing one, and yet the others are?

These guys are the pizza GODS!! They are my go to pizza place and I have never once been disappointed!! Always delicious!!

Got our order wrong, and without delay or hassle instantly starting making the correct order and gave us the wrong pizza as a complimentary. 10/10 service would gladly come back with their response.
