Amazing restaurant. Have been going here for 30 years and have never ever had a bad experience. It can get very busy but it was very quiet at our last late evening visit. We highly recommend this place.

Found bug in my wonton soup. We ordered a whole meal. We feel sick. We called an employee over to show them. They comped the soup but not the entire meal. We felt disgusted after finding it. They should have comped the entire meal they made us pay $38 dollars. We couldn’t eat anything else after finding it. The large plate I was given also was not washed properly and I had to wipe off a little residue upon receiving it.
Update, it is almost 24 hours later and I’ve felt sick to my stomach since eating that soup. I feel awful. This place should be closed. I know there was bug eggs in something in that soup. A larvae suggests that.

We have been there before and it was wonderful. I couldn’t wait to go back. My boyfriend surprised me with a nice date there. I Found a bug in my wonton soup. I was super quiet and polite about it. We kept trying to wave the staff down for 15 minutes. They comped the soup. But we barely ate anything else and didn’t want to continue eating after the find. So they didn’t comp the entire meal which would have been responsible because I honestly would be leaving a more favourable review. The idea of treating your loyal customers like this is horrendous. I can’t believe they even asked if we were done with our food…. I mean obviously we don’t want to eat more bugs…. They charged my boyfriend $38 for this meal. Awful disgusting service. I almost never leave bad reviews.

Best dim sum place in Hamilton. Also the egg tarts are perhaps some of the best in the world. Having had egg tarts from Macau and Hong Kong, it is quite impressive how they get the egg tarts in a perfect recipe at Crystal for dim sum. The filling is on the sweet side on the egg tart spectrum, but not sweet like the caramelized Portuguese tarts from Macau. Their crust is fantastically fluffy and multi-layered like the best of Hong Kong puff pastry version of egg tarts (Hong Kong has 2 major versions, puff vs pastry). Their take on stir fried eggplant is phenomenal. It is an all star build on the classic spicy fried flavour.
The dinner and lunch food is also excellent. Their soy sauce noodle with beef and Yeung chow fried rice is excellent.

Been coming here for years. Their dimsum, seems to have improved in terms of taste and consistency.
This restaurant serves good family style food. It is one of the most authentic Chinese restaurants in town. My family enjoys the food very much. I'm not a fan of the service though. I felt that if you aren't a regular they don't make much effort to make you feel welcomed and they don't seem to care if you come back or not.
It's not like a Western like restaurant where the staff are friendly to all customers but may give regulars a little extra. They just don't check in with a smile and don't seem to make any effort to connect.
At the end of the day they aren't fans of customers using credit cards and are really grumpy about it. Kinda sad when most restaurants take it as a form of payment. There wasn't even any incentive or warning that they prefer that you use cash or debit. It's almost like you're strong armed to use anything but credit cards. Come on now, you can afford the fees for the machine... You make enough off your customers.
They used to offer complimentary fortune cookies or a dessert but that seems to be non existent now
I like this restaurant and I do enjoy their food but they really need to work on their customer service

Get your hours straight. You say you’re open at 4:00 on Wednesday. We had a large group there at 4:30. Closed. Called. No answer. Very disappointed.

We have tried all the restaurants that offer dim sum in Hamilton. We finally found the best. This was our last hope and the didn’t disappoint. Everything had so much flavour that made the food outstanding. Tastiest Won Ton soup since when we use to live in Montreal and went to China town. The service was fantastic and very helpful and pleasant. Save our table we will be back!!!
