D Spot Dessert Cafe Hamilton

Went to the Kanata location and it was terrible. The service was not knowledgeable, slow and the server punched the order incorrectly. My friend tried to order mint tea but was told all the loose leaf teas were mixed together in one blend. The food quality was poor and very overpriced - for example, stale cheesecake sitting in a soup of coulis. Extremely disappointing. Will not return.

One of the worst service ever received. As a delivery driver some points must needs to be mentioned publicly

1. Servers are ignoring all the time not helping not answering nothing.
Even if there’re are multiple drivers waiting along with the customers still not helping any time.
2. For every 8 orders out of 10, once driver reached still orders are not ready for pick up or sometimes they start making when we reached their
3. Poor management no one cares what’s happening during rush hours

Overall never seen such a poor service for delivery drivers in any other restaurant Hopes these things can get better soon and they need to hire better servers

Some of the desserts are really good but unfortunately the experience of going here makes me not really want to come back. I’ve been here 3 times and every time I’ve been put on a waiting list and they call you when a table opens up, being busy isn’t a crime but it’s just a minor annoyance and when you get a table it’s usually right next to other people so close you feel like you’re sitting at the table with strangers, booths are always taken and there isn’t enough of them. I personally don’t like sitting right next to other people at restaurants because I like having privacy and this place is a nightmare for introverts. Last time I was here we were seated right against the glass where the front door is and the entire time people are coming and going staring at you, even some people leaning on the glass right next to my face which is like less than a foot away from the glass. Also yet another restaurant that intentionally only hires you based on skin colour.

Overpriced Trash – Not Worth a Dime

D Spot is a total scam. The food is insanely overpriced for what it is—literally cheap, frozen Walmart garbage dressed up as something special. It’s laughable how much they charge for food that tastes this bad. To top it off, they got our order wrong and then lied about it, saying their menu had changed. The whole experience was just terrible. Save your money—this place is nothing but overpriced junk.

We had a very bad experience in this place first you need to wait long time for the food ! I ordered a banana split for the kids the came with a syringe on it and they filled inside with chocolate and strawberry syrup , when we finished the waitress was very rude telling us the kids can’t keep the syringe, kids was very sad and I was very disappointed that syringe was reused that is very disgusting . Reusing a plastic syringe? We will never get back ! We want to puke thinking that syringe was reused and can’t imagine the amount of germs !

We went in the mid afternoon for a latte and a shake, at the time there was only one other table which had been served. Despite being seated promptly we waited 15 minutes for service to take our order and then another 15 minutes before receiving our order. The quality of our latte and shake was very good, but I would consider the length of time to receive our order very poor especially when there was relatively no one in the cafe.

I recently visited D Spot for the first time, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. While the desserts looked tempting, I found the prices quite expensive.

What really stood out, though, was the customer service. We arrived around 11 PM (an hour before closing), and an employee named Haily (sorry if I misspelled it) informed us that we needed to order quickly as they wouldn’t accept orders after 10 minutes. Her tone felt unwelcoming, and it seemed like she wasn’t happy to see customers arriving at that time.
Despite rushing to place our order, we ended up waiting an hour to receive our food, which made the whole situation even more frustrating. If we were expected to hurry, it would have been reasonable to receive our food in a timely manner as well.
Overall, the experience left a bad impression. Good customer service and fresh, quality food are just as important as presentation. I hope management takes steps to improve the experience for future customers.
