My wife and I were super excited to see this restaurant re-opened and kept all of its charm. Ok the name changed from the Black Forest Inn to Das Schnitzelhaus, however its still the same great experience. Great food, great schnitzelhaus charm. This is one of the few places you can get an amazing Schnitzel outside of Germany. Highly recommend you visit here.

Das Schnitzel Haus is a fantastic spot for authentic German food! The schnitzel was perfectly crispy, portions were generous, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Great service and a fun place to enjoy a hearty meal — highly recommend

We just had takeout and it was better than expected! We had the Vienna Schnitzel platter and the schnitzel breading was crispy, light and delicate. Also, everything was well-seasoned. The salad was simple, but the house dressing was very tasty. I highly recommend this place!

The service and atmosphere were quite good. As for the food: the spätzle was delicious and the rye bread was very tasty. However, the Hungarian goulash was mediocre in taste and the pieces of meat were really tiny. Worst of all, cabbage rolls were almost inedible: the cabbage leaves weren’t cooked through, there wasn’t enough sauce, and the filling tasted vile.
The staff are HORRIBLE Save your time and money, if I could give negative stars I would.

After a long time we decided to try Das Schnitzelhaus, hoping that finally they were going to feature the same great fare that we used to enjoy at the Black Forest Inn. We had been coming here since 1970 when it was still operated by the original owners, Fred and Rosa Oberreiter from Austria. We were not disappointed as the food was delicious and the service very good. The prices considering other similar venues out there were quite reasonable. Having one of the cooks come out and check with us how the food was as well as the Manager who thanked us for coming and also inquired how our experience turned out. Yes, the Restaurant could use some sprucing up but I can understand the owner wants to ensure that the business continues to grow as those who have not been back for some time return bringing with them new clientele. We hope to be back shortly. Keep up the good work! Guten Appetit - Werner, Eleanore and Caleb

With the new ownership, this place is still amazing! The food was incredible with huge portions and ever so tasty!!! I truly can not say enough about this place and it will for sure be a staple restaurant for us going forward!!!
Loved it when it was the Black Forest but I am very sure it is even BETTER now! The Owner was such a nice man and the service was top notch!
Do yourself a favour if you like German food and stop by Das Schnitzelhaus. You will not be disappointed. 👊

Schnitzel was dry and oversalted. Potatoes were just strange and also oversalted. Staff seem to spend more time talking to each other than they did to the customers. Parking is a challenge. $50 for a small schnitzel and a large one with just water and no dessert.
