I love diners but this didn't cut the mustard. At all.
When you hear from the kitchen the cook saying upon learning that they burned my chicken parm, " Oh. Well at least we sold out of the rib special.", it doesn't inspire much confidence. How about some pride in your work? I would not have even brought that food to the table.
