Supposedly this place was meant to close down but a family saved it after they saw the passion the community had for the branch. This place is incredible, the donughts were doughnuting, 🍩 the vibes were vibing. A beautiful Spring day in Hamilton. Price is very reasonable too!

This was my first time coming here and won’t be the last! This is an excellent place for those looking for more vegan donut options as they had plenty. I got their HamOnt donut which is their rendition of a Boston cream. The donut was great and I particularly enjoyed the chocolate ganache they used contrasting with the vanilla pastry cream filling.

Donut Monster is a favourite Locke Street haunt, and I was sad to learn they will be closing after a decade in business. Stop by on or before April 20th to have one last vegan donut and maybe grab a t-shirt while you still can. They have a great selection of vegan donuts, baked fresh daily.
Update [2025-04-09]: It was announced on April 3rd that Donut Monster has found a new owner and will no longer be closing! Hooray!

Great donut shop that pivoted during covid to offer window service from the side of the building. Still one of the best donut places in Hamilton.
They make donuts like the old days. Remember before Tim’s was absolute ass? Even better than that. I’m talking the old school mom and pop donut shop hidden gems. Their coffee is also stellar! I highly recommend their brown sugar latte and vanilla bean donut. I’ll be back!

Very fun donuts to experience. My family and I make the 45 minute trip here for a treat because getting donuts anywhere else just isn't the same. Their flavours are always changing and are seasonally based. My favourites are the filled donuts as the fillings are always incredible. Also, I would recommend trying one of their cake donuts, the texture is so moist and luxurious. I personally find the regular donuts without filling disappointing at times, special more because of the toppings than the donut itself.

I remember trying this place when I came to Hamilton. I appreciate the donuts are made fresh but I didn't find them special. At least compared to the other donut/bakeries I've since tried around the city.
I will give them props for having the Lewis Duck Costume though!
