Dora's is always our first place for catering. The portions are very generous and the prices are fair. The passion from the owners is what has kept this little shop going for the past 25 years!

Excellent deli and catering!

I have been shopping and ordering catering from this family business for well over 20 years. our family purchases food, groceries and bakery items regularly on Ottawa street and product is always fresh. their catering department and Mary have catered many holiday parties for us and my husbands workplace all the time. they also catered my best friends wedding and both showers. look at the real reviews about this place. they should have 10 stars. a gem in Hamilton and a great local spot. prices worth every penny. hard working people and great cooks.

We used Dora's to cater a grad party, and I can honestly say Dora's was amazing. They were able to accomodate us on short notice, and the food was incredibly delicious, I was asked multiple times from the people at the party who we used for the catering. Food came hot, and there was so much food. The portions are sized well. Our department will defintely be using Dora's again for catering of events.

We were visiting an antique store in the area and were looking for somewhere quick to grab a bite to eat. We stopped into Dora's and were happy to find they made fresh sandwiches. We ordered a sandwich and as well as some homemade soup that was awesome. We also took some fresh bread and desserts for later that were just as good. There is no seating in the delicatessen but there is a small public park less than a block away with outdoor tables where we were able to enjoy our lunch.

I recently had some catering done and I couldn't be happier with the service. Mary was a delight and the food was delicious. I highly recommend!

Unfortunately no one would take the time to actually sit with me and go over the catering options with me. I was looking for something quick and easy for a funeral, instead I just got handed a card and told me it’s all through email. When you are needing something to be done quick and efficient the last thing you want is to be going back and forth through email especially when you are already exhausted. I kind of left the store feeling a little defeated. Fortunately I found another bakery not to far who actually sat me down and in 30 mins we had everything sorted out.

I’m blown away with how nice she is and I will continue to come back here time and time again.

What a hidden little gem of Hamilton

I recently ordered a catered lunch for a McMaster University work event and couldn’t be more impressed with the service. Mary was a delight to work with, addressing all my needs and questions despite my multiple emails! The wraps and sandwiches were delicious, hearty, and fresh. Everything was beautifully packaged and well-labeled. The delivery was on time, and Sean was fantastic—he loaded everything onto my cart and explained what each item was. We received many compliments from our guests! Dora’s Delicatessen & Catering truly stands out for their exceptional quality and great service. I will definitely be using them again for future events. Thank you again!!

Dora’s is a great place to get a sandwich or meat pie or a sweet treat, it’s very affordable which is rare nowadays and they are super friendly and family oriented

Honestly I didn't know what to expect when walking into the store. Grateful I did cuz I found a hidden gem. I took Sean's recommendation and got the Reubenator. Holy fudge! The portion was great and it's way better than something like Subway.
I'd highly recommend this place to anyone. Best sandwich shop I've been to in a while.
