Great location for before a concert. Fun retro 80s vibe and I thought for certain they would not get us out on time as they were crazy busy. We were able to eat our food leisurely and still had time to spare. There were fast! There was an event menu but it has lots of options. Fried chicken sandwich and the American burger were both great. As was the poutine. Great experience!
We were first time diners here - despite some noise issues - a very large party we were seated near - we had a great meal, our server Shelby was fantastic on a very busy Friday night - responsive, noticing issues and just all around considerate. Would def recommend!!
I don't recall our servers name but she was super efficient, friendly, thoughtful and personable . The hostess was also very good. Bussing & dropping off wazer etc.Food was good we had the birra beef deep and the hot crab dip w wonton. The cinnamon sugar little balls were not great. And $8 for 7 little ones. I wouldn't recommend.
My first time going for dinner with my partner and we really enjoyed it. The service level was excellent, burger was great but the fries were mediocre. Fav place for breakfast.
Ambience is fun and festive (ex. Decorating for the holiday season). Love the diner feel and mix-matched plates. Waitress checked on us regularly. Chicken portion was tiny. It looks like it is larger than the bun, but it is actually 2 small pieces sticking out the bun edges, then empty center. Similarly, my fries and kale salad portion was tiny.
Absolutely fun and great vibe! Love the food and the atmosphere. Love the Tuesday trivia night we attended last night! Service was a little on the slow side unfortunately but that could have been due to a number of factors. I will still go again!
We love Electric Diner. For 3 years we have been coming to see Santa and it's awesome. Food is delicious, service is great! Love explaining the 80s theme to my kids!
Service was amazing. the burgers were the best I've had in a long time. Music playing was great. Will definetly be coming back again
The menu and vibes are fantastic. Whoever wrote the copy in the menu should get a big fat raise because everything sounded incredible. The food was fine, but disappointing relative to how the menu made it sound. Not a ton of flavour, and it was really expensive. $8 for a hot chocolate, $6 for a kid's drink, and $18 for a milkshake - ooof! My bill for 9 people (4 children) was about $350 after tax and 15% tip.
I've been to the Hess village location in the past. First time to the Lister block. The ambiance is great and pretty much the main reason for going. The meals were good tasting and fresh. I booked a table well in advance to celebrate 2 birthdays (it was brunch) for 8 people. We were seated right at the door and we waited for an hour to eat which was way too long...for breakfast menu items. We then had a $25 birthday cake that looked amazing but tasted freezer burnt and was dry. My kids liked the icing so they didn't mind. I complained about the cake and should have made a bigger complaint about the wait because I was not comped the cost of the cake and was handed a $10 coupon. Not thrilled....not sure if we will return.

The restaurant accommodated our group of 21. The food was great along with the service and ambience. I really appreciated the effort they put in to help me host an important family brunch.
Excellent food! Great Service and amazing ambiance! Keep up the great work Electric Diner crew!
OUR WEEKLY LUNCHES ARE ALWAYS A WONDERFUL AND ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE! GOOD SERVICE, GOOD FOOD AND GOOD AMBIENCE
The food here is delicious. It's not your everyday kind of burger and sandwich place. The ‘80's retro vibe is well done too. It got a bit loud over the lunch rush. And we did seem to have to wait quite a while for our food. We were a group of 9, and they had another large party seated. But I still felt that burgers and chicken sandwiches and fries could have been served up a lot faster without compromising quality and flavour.
The restaurant honored the 15% discount (for being subscriber to Theatre Aquarius, and we were attending pre-theatre) even though the dining card hasn't been delivered yet to us (on account of the postal strike).
