By far the best tasting Jamaican restaurant in Hamilton! I’ve tried numerous Jamaican spots since moving here five years ago, and none of them come close to the authentic island cuisine at Ellis Kitchen. It truly tastes like my grandmother’s or my mom’s Sunday dinner cooking.
The oxtail is top-notch soft, succulent, and packed with incredible flavor. My god! I ordered a tray with oxtail, BBQ chicken, and rice & peas, and it shot!!! IYKYK

My new go to for jerk chicken on coco bun. Was absolutely delicious. Tender perfectly Spiced meat, no weird bits - soft bun - sweet slaw, accompanied with a cold Irish Moss drink👌would love to hear Jamaican music playing instead of bland radio 🤞🏻

I have been looking for a good roti in Hamilton close to home and I tried Ellis Kitchen on Ottawa st for the first time today and I found as soon as I walked in the smell of delicious food filled the air. The staff are friendly and the service was great. I ordered the curry chicken roti and 2 mild beef Pateys . I was not disappointed the roti was Exactly what I was hoping for. I will return to try some of the other wonderful dishes they have on the menu they all looked so good as I was waiting for my order and watched as they prepared other people’s orders.
