I was buying food from here at least once a week… but last Friday after buying a small curry goat and driving home to the west end, I opened my food, began eating and found a hair.
I won’t be returning.

I have been going to ellis for a few months now and their meals are very consistent and tasteful. I am born and raised in jamaica so I feel like I have a good idea and high standard for authentic jamaican meals and this restaurant does well. I just had the curry goat and it was good with a decent amount of food serving. I recommend! Ellis keep it up.

If there was an option to put zero i would put zero. The customer service is horrible. The customer service of the young lady is ignorant and rude. Told what i wanted and still managed to get my order wrong. Food is over priced for the service you get. I asked for a chicken roti with the roti which has the filler on it. They give me a chickpea roti. Horrible service and food is horrible too. I recommend not to eat or order there.

I have never visited in person ! I ordered via uber eats and I must say ! Guaranteed satisfaction ! That stew chicken was the Bomb.com ! Real Caribbean Flavour taste that I wanted and got !
I recently ordered again from this place and they never disappoint, I ordered $40 worth of food including drinks and that day I decided to have currry and this was the worst I have ever eaten ! Super peppery and only thing I could taste was pepper ! I was super hungry and had no choice to eat some of it smh I called and spoke with a young lady and no one called me back .
I won’t be ordering their curry ever again! I will stick to getting stew ! It was very horrible

I ordered a medium oxtail yesterday. Since I was outside at a park,I indicated I need utensils which they never added to my order. I called immediately to ask why they didn't put my utensils, the guy at the store started arguing with me that they put some utensils. I told him no they didn't. And,all I said to him was that,I will never call except there's an issue like this.I told him,that all he could have just said to me is I sorry about that. And the crown it all,the food tasted so bad,too,too salty and the oxtail was to hard .It looked like I got the bottom pot,the very last oxtail. Or maybe they recently changed their chef.Cos the food used to taste really good

Showed up placed my order waited over 15 minutes before finding out that the part of the food I ordered was finished. Then I had to change my order after paying the difference. Then just before my order was finally ready I was told they ran out of rice and peas and I had to take plain rice. This order was over $80 plus tip and I did not get the meal for someone special that they had wanted. I was in the restaurant for over 30 minutes. I have never been disappointed with their food or the service but this time I extremely was.
The new stuff patty goes crazy, I knew they'd be good the base patty is great. Good stuff
