ordered through uber eats fish was good little greasy but ok
chips i asked for fresh cut for both meals dont believe they were fresh cut at all
greasy limp half cooked pretty terrible

I got to put 10 here. It was excellent. The fries were cooked well. The gravy was delicious. Pulled pork was okay though. A little fatty for my liking but overall I would recommend it. It's got a great atmosphere and a pool table in here.

My wife and I decided to try The Food Box after they popped up on my FB feed. Went in after the dinner hour and before the evening entertainment, so it was not busy at all. That is why I gave the Atmosphere 4 stars. We were greeted immediately on arrival by a very polite young fellow and ordered Fish and Chips. The owner came out and chatted with us, a very nice gentleman, and he talked to us and said we wouldn't be disappointed with our food...and boy, was he right! We ordered the Captain's Catch for 2 and it came out piping hot...the fish had a nice, light batter that didn't get soggy at all. The fries were good, although I don't think they were fresh cut, but they were hot and crispy. The cole slaw was amazing, not an afterthought like at so many other Fish n Chip shops. The price was really good, for those on a budget. All in all, a very nice dinner out...we will definitely be back!

I forgot how good your fish and chips were. The crispiest fish and chips was soo delicious and they give you all the condiments and the gravy I guess that comes with the family meal it was yummy. Great deal and probably the best fish and chips in the city! Lovee the crispy fries. Got the 4 piece family.
fish and chips and two appetizers still was only $60 really good deal and that was on delivery.

We came to this hidden gem for the first time a couple weeks ago. The 3 of us ordered the AYCE fish snd chips. I didn't know what to expect on the inside of the restaurant. I wasn't sure if there was a seating area as from the outside it ss quite deceiving. When we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised on the spacious size of the restaurant. It had good sized booths on the right side, some tables in the centre and on the left a bar and pool table, which my grandson loved to play after dinner.
Now, the fish and chips dinner were both delicious and crispy. Loved the crispy fries! The fish was also good and crispy, but perhaps maybe lighten up a bit on the batter as too much crispy batter surrounding the beautiful fish overpowers the fish's delicate taste which makes one not want to eat anymore. Towards my second and third piece, I was picking off all the batter just to be able to eat the fish only, as the batter started to turn me off of eating it. Please don't get me wrong, the food was great on the first couple of bites. But as the bites continued I felt the batter was too much on the fish.
Now , the customer service was top notch! The owner was very attentive and made sure our experience was pleasurable. We could see how
the owner was super invested in making sure we had a great time and was really engaging and chatty which is a rare quality to see in the restaurant industry these days. Thank you!
