We order from there all the time, but tonight ( February 27 2026), I went there to order, and to be honest I DO NOT like their new menu. It's on a one sheet double sided, I had to ask for fish and chips with two fish, I had to pay double same as 20 peace of wings my mushroom caps were good, I liked the what it was called before a cheese box, but wasn't a big fan of the fried ravioli, and fried Mac and cheese, but the cheese balls and cheese sticks were good. But the fish and chips, my mom got very sick from it. She really hated the way the fish tasted. I wish u went back to ur old menu.. im truly sorry I gave u a poor review

Had a 2 piece cod and chips meal with coleslaw.$18.95. Best fish and chips I have had in a while. Cod was crispy and not overly battered. Good size pieces as well. Too much for me but as the cod was thick it reheated in airfryer the next day beautifully. Now my favorite go to for fish and chips in Hamilton. I want to amend this to say there are new owners as of 2025 and they have changed the menus. This review was from previous owner.

My family of 3 went for dinner. Food was cooked well and tasted delicious. Server was friendly and checked on us often. Will be returning

HOLY COW!!!! Attention all foodies, people looking for a fun&friendly environment, karaoke lovers, locals, travellers & people with dietary restrictions: COME HERE!

I have celiac disease & it is so hard to find places that can not only accommodate, but offer me more than 1 option! Everything was delicious and made in house - so they were able to make almost anything gluten free!

The new owner is so amazing - such a beautiful soul & clear dedication to his business, service & customers

The prices were almost too good to be true, I thought it must have been a mistake & it was not.

I happened to go on a KARAOKE NIGHT and it was soo fun to watch everyone get involved! I will 1000% be returning & cannot say enough kind words about this place & this owner!

Very good place to eat. My girlfriend and I struggle to find celiac safe food places due to her allergy and the owner at Food Box was super understanding and catering to her and constantly reassured us that the food would be safe and there would be 0 cross-contamination. We were very satisfied and are going to be using food box as our go-to for celiac safe food. Not to mention the drinks were good and the atmosphere was super fun with their karaoke machine going. He also let us know they have other event nights such as a paint/karaoke night as well as other ideas planned. Definitely an all around solid place to go even just for a bar night. Management is super helpful and polite.

Haven't been here in a couple of yrs because we couldn't eat in but now there is new owners and there is eat in and the food is really great and made fresh .the new owners are amazing. Hope they get more and more business. They apparently have art night where you eat and paint.great place

We went today for the first time and we had the fish and.chips all you can eat it's was crispy tasty fresh and the fries were nice all staff were friendly fast service will be going there more often ... great job very happy

The owners and their family are very sweet and attentive, the food was amazing. And they have gluten free fish and chips for my mom!
5 people was just over 100 bucks and well worth it

Took my wife and kids here for all you can eat fish and chips and pizza. The food is amazing nice crispy fish and chips gluten free options if anybody in your family has celiac, my kids had a blast. They were playing pool and everybody left full of some good homemade tasting food for a great price. Just like grandma use to make

Read about it and was curious to try it. I am gluten free, celiac, and was looking for a gluten free restaurant close to home. Well, found one. The food was so good. Will be returning probably once a week. My restaurant now. Thank you.

My husband and I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a couple beverages. Immediately we were impressed. The atmosphere was great. It was quiet but we enjoyed the small talk with our bartender. I think his name was Ranjit. The pool table was a great addition! We took home an order of samosa, which were absolutely fantastic!!! We'd definitely recommend a visit here. We’ll be back and like to try an evening when they have karaoke.

We been to foodbox after ages. Love to see the new atmosphere and today we met the new owner. Polite, very professional and intellectual person to deal.
He told abt the new changes, he made to improve it.
We will definitely come back..
