I’ve been coming to Genuine Bakery for over 20 years, and it continues to be the best spot in Hamilton for delicious hot food, fresh daily bread and buns, and a variety of other homemade treats. The quality is consistently outstanding — everything tastes like it was made with care and tradition. It’s hard to find places like this anymore.

What really stands out is how affordable it is, especially considering the level of quality and freshness you’re getting. Whether you’re grabbing lunch, picking up a few loaves, or treating yourself to something sweet, this place never disappoints. It’s a true staple in the city and one of Hamilton’s best-kept secrets. Highly recommend to anyone who loves real food made right.

Our family ordered 3 trays of lasagna, a Greek salad and 1 1/2 garden salad for a Celebration of Life. We had this all delivered. The food was delicious! The lasagnas were hot with lots of meat, pasta and sauce and the salads were fresh with lots of vegetables & dressing that we added ourselves to our taste. The Greek salad was exceptional & we would order only that in the future. Len & Lester were wonderful to deal with & extremely patient & helpful, answering all my questions. Our delivery person was very friendly & set things up for us perfectly. We had no complaints during a very stressful time and would order from them again with no hesitation.

I can’t say enough amazing things about Genuine. During a difficult time Len made things so easy and worry free and we were blown away with the food, everything was fresh and delicious. Life long customers have been created.

Recently Genuine Bakery helped us with their amazing food and catering service during a difficult family time for three days in a row. They're employees are always professional and kind people that make your Genuine Bakery experience even better. I would highly recommend Genuine Bakery. They are a true staple in our community.

We ordered from Genuine Bakery for a lunch reception after a funeral. The food was fantastic and plentiful. They set everything up and it looked wonderful and tasted amazing. Picked up penne and meatballs for my 3 grandsons for dinner on way home from work. Generous individual portions with a fresh bun included. They loved it!
There was leftovers for lunch the next day!
As usual I picked up a couple of pastries from their pastry counter and some fresh marble rye bread on the way to the checkout.
Sandy helped me out and as always brightened my day with our little chats and her wonderful personality. She is a sweetheart. ??
