I ordered a hot dog. It was very fresh and delicious. Everything was perfect. The lady in the front was very nice and helpful.

We used to come to this place all the time before Covid. I am not one to leave reviews but my wife getting food poisoning... felt it needed to be pointed out.
- To start the place is dingy, and unkempt. Looked like the place was falling apart. - The cook was off in a hidden corner and the cashier came out from behind us while we waited at the front. - My wife was second guessing ordering but I wanted to eat. - We ordered burgers, poutine and milkshake. - The cashier was really friendly and polite; My wife enjoyed chatting with her. - However, when it came to our food preparation, we never heard anyone wash their hands. - There was a hair in one of the milkshakes that went unnoticed till it came up in the straw near the end of the drink. - The potatoes were cut in all different shapes and sizes. Some over cooked and some barely. The gravy was a generic okay tasting brown sauce, with curds. - The burgers were extremely over cooked, and had an awful smell to them. - My wife took one bite and couldn't stomach eating anymore due to the off putting smell and old meat taste. She did eat the poutine. - About an hour or so later, she started getting really bad stomach cramps and started throwing up.
I really hope this place gets themselves back in order cause it used to be a Hamilton treasure. Now its a disappointment.

Greasy, over cooked and burnt fish the portion of the fish is much smaller then any other place that serves Haddock or Cod fish for the same price with fries. 👎👎👎👎 the staff are funny 😁 😂 😀

Food here is garbage and the manager abuses the staff. During the summer flies will fly through the ice cream window and die in the ice cream and the staff are told just scoop the flies out and serve the ice cream and will be reprimanded if they try to refuse. The staff never receive their tips because the manager takes them then will split it up at the end of the summer depending on how much she likes you. For example, one person got $40 and another got $200. Another person got $600. This isn't even all the tips as a majority is pocketed by the manager and the owners are fully aware. The store is also cash only to force costumers to pay extra money to use their ATM and there's also no way to track how much is being made in tips. If the till is short they also force the staff to pay the difference even if they have no evidence the staff stole money. I'm not sure if management has changed but from the recent reviews it sounds like this place is still a joke. For a shift less than 8 hours staff are only allowed 15 minute breaks even though the law is your entitled to a 30 minute break after working 5 hours. The manger also hires mainly younger people who don't know labour laws so its easier to intimidate them. Go anywhere else this place needs to be shut down.

If I could rate this a zero I would. Firstly, our first order of fish and chips were still raw under the batter. I returned and asked for them to remake it, they come back with extra burnt fish (basically just batter) extremely small as well. It was so burnt it crumbled.
I asked for a refund and said I didnt want it anymore. Gave me 50% of the cost back and took the food. The ketchup was old and watery.
As I was walking out the door and couple were returning with news paper full of fish and said their fish was raw as well. Absolutely horrible experience, will never return here. Advise all to keep your kids away, and save yourself from getting sick. The other hutches on the beach is 1000x better advised to go there instead. This establishment should just close its doors

Very unprofessional and loud workspace. I can hear laughing in the back while I have waited for 30 minutes for my order. I overheard the two Arabs that work there commenting racist remarks toward the nice black hijabi server we had. I heard them say disgusting jokes like “to the back of the bus like Rosa parks”. Another time my family and I came in the food was undercooked and once again we had to wait 30 + minutes and we heard whipping noises from the back along with loud laughter. This is used to be my favourite food spot but now I don’t think I will be coming here again. I hope the restaurant updates their policies in regards to bullying and discrimination as well as encourage their employees to work efficiently. Otherwise, i love how the restaurant is always well-kept and clean; the ice is delicious.

Was at your crappy restaurant 3 weeks ago with my wife and sil ordered 2 fish & chips and a burger and poutine the fish were overcooked could only eat the middle 3 inchs the fries like the oil hadnt been changed in a weekor more,the burger was also way overcooked didnt teven touched the poutine as the fries probably tasted the same. Althe the restaurant was clean and service was ok for around 3 pm the dinghy Dell has actually become dinghy so will nevef visit there again
Fish and chips were mediocre the place needs to be updated, $42. For 2 people and drinks , fries and fish were over cooked . Drive way was dusty it should be paved. I don’t think I will be there again. Not a welcoming place to eat . The booths need to be replaced so to accommodate larger people.Time to step it up guys

Very unhappy with the quality of the fish. The oil was obviously too hot as the fish looked almost too cooked but when you bite into it, the batter isn’t even cooked. Fries were average. Coleslaw was very stingy. Thought I was ordering a decent size and got an individual container only half filled with your very basic green slaw. It was meh and won’t be coming back again.
