Joy Inn Restaurant & Tavern

I’m 27 right now. My family ordered from here when I was a toddler, I remember eating noodles from my high chair. This is the only Chinese food I ordered my whole life. I showed my friends it, (they also loved it), my older sister who lives in Caledonia and has 3 kids, I’d order a tonn and bring it up to them…. One of these past weekends I had my best friend over and talked nonstop about “Joy Inn” , went to order and found out they are now closed. Heart. Broken. I wish I was being dramatic. Will never recover unless they reopen. Would like to start a petition for someone to carry on their legacy …

They are now permanently closed, it was on their web site, called to place an order and the phone number was out of service too

Always been a great place for food ever since they first came from the Avondale Barton location the old WK wondering are they actually closing today for the last time will it be serving me my Chinese food?

Hadn't been there in 25 years since working down the street, I was in the area and thought I'd give it a try as I've been so disappointed with Chinese food in the city for the last few years but this was over the top it was how I remembered it fresh made from scratch nothing frozen, it will be my go to for now on

They don't seem to be on the apps or have an online ordering form.

Phone seems to be the only way to order and they won't answer 😅

Me and my partner got take out last night. The food was ready quick, the portion was very large and the price was amazing! Everything tasted great, we will definitely be back.

It was close to closing time and the team at Joy Inn accepted our order and had it ready quickly. The food was tasty- we had a Cantonese chow mein, egg rolls and general Tao chicken. Kind lady, good and quick food.

This might have been the worst Chinese food I've ever had. The rice, noodles and ribs were all hard and dry, like they had been cooked the day before and reheated yet the shrimps in the rice were still translucent which means they were undercooked. The spring rolls were filled with an unappealing mush that looked like cabbage with a few strings of carrots and all the food was bland. We ordered from here because it was close; next time we'll drive further and get food that's actually decent.

Food was utterly disgusting, flavourless and disgusting in texture. Service was terrible, not respect, not decency, no etiquette. I am appalled and quite frankly I am surprised this establishment is operating the way it is. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I FELT LIKE I WAS IN A 3rd WORLD COUNTRY!! NEVER GOING

The price is great, but at a cost of the quality of product you get. The food is bland and does not taste fresh. The beef and brocolli was sooo smelly.
