I loved the club when it was Sizzle. Apparently Sizzle burned down and Koi took over. It was never the same

Love the vibe and atmosphere, but the bartenders have no clue what they're doing. Maybe it was just the night I visited, but it wasn't busy at all. Ordered 2 glasses of Prosecco and they were poured into red wine glasses despite the champagne flutes sitting right there. The pours were way too large, but I guess that's their loss. I then ordered 2 white wine spritzers and the bartender didn't know what that was. I said, it's a white wine with soda water. She nodded and poured 2 more glasses of Prosecco in the same massive glasses. I couldn't do anything but laugh. I guess I'll give the place another shot and just order a bottled beer next time.

Hess village, what can I say? Fun, busy, diverse age crowd on a Saturday night, great music/dj playing popular club hits, lots of different areas to chill (seperate lounge with windows), lots of loud speakers for the small indoor dance floor, and huge outdoor patio, upstairs more seating (food). Adequate bathrooms. Pleasant staff, but not many drink options. Didn't eat here, or go upstairs, but friends said it was same vibe. It was a good night with lots of the younger 20's people, because it was a "frosh" weekend opening. I would recommend for anyone who is looking for a comfortable vibe and moderate drink prices ($10 cover, $5 Jagerbombs/$7 mix/beer/shot-if my inebriated memory serves me correctly!). Overall, was a fun for all. Door staff was super nice and bartenders were helpful.

The food was great, honestly, like a 5-star restaurant. Not many people would know this restaurant / old night club would be so good. Restrooms are a lot of missing parts. Needs to be updated and cleaned regularly.
Kid-friendliness: Waitress sweet and bubbly. Did actually get to try the menu. Said ice cream would be great. Wasn't disappointed. Got carb and pasta dish, so.. good. Friend got shrimp and salad was very good.

It was date night last night, we braved the humidity and we experienced a delightful evening at Koi Seafood House. The breeze on the patio was welcomed. We saved our appetites all day and were not disappointed with the meal. Our portion sizes and the presentation were perfect. We had bruschetta with some oysters to start. We also shared the grilled Moroccan Octopus, the steak and were treated to the day's special the jerk swordfish. Everything was amazing and we would like to thank Chef Sam for helping create this perfect date night.

Koi is not new to Hess Village. Originally specializing in sushi, it then leaned toward pub-style food but has now relaunched as Koi Seafood House with talented Executive Chef Girgis. Preferring the patio space seating, enjoyed the best seafood I’ve had recently. Pan Roasted Atlantic Salmon was cooked to perfection – trust me, a massive portion is under all the garnish – plated with roasted king mushrooms (so delish I could have eaten just those), summer peas atop mushy peas, topped with charred shishito, surrounded by amazing saffron potatoes (eye candy and top-notch flavour), drizzled with warm mushroom Ponzu dressing (oh my).Their social media focuses a fair bit on the beverage program, but do not overlook the food. Amazing.Texture is important to me and linked to some of my food preferences. Take Calamari. It’s on so many menus but I grew tired of the game – will it be rubbery or edible? I stopped playing the game and it’s fair to say that I have not eaten calamari this century – until I visited Koi. The Grilled Moroccan Calamari dish changed all that. Delectably grilled it was served with tomatoes, olives, cucumber, a bit of endive and radicchio, shishito, chorizo bites, aioli and “OG dressing” which Chef Girgis describes as creamy Greek dressing. This dish can also be ordered with grilled octopus. Calamari can also be had crisp fried.Perfectly cooked shrimp in Koi’s Chilled Sweet Shrimps with Caesar Cocktail Sauce. And then there was crusted halibut. It was a special not described on the menu and I have forgotten the details other than to say – delish (and there’s those fab saffron potatoes again!)Interior decor not my style but was told renovations are planned.

This place has the best food offerings in Hess Village by far! Nothing in the area can compare. There are also some great specials and the staff was super friendly. You got to eat here.

Place looks nice and staff was very helpful but I would recommend not eating outside in the padio. WHY you may ask? There is a lot of wierd homeless dudes and guys that like to smoke close to where you are eating. That to me is unacceptabe. They have no control over that but it makes for an unpleasent experience especially when you do not smoke and have to smell that when you eat. Not going again manager was thoughful in coming over but he needs to fix this because your customers will never want to eat out in the padio and have smoke in their face while eating.
