One of the best brunches I have had in a long time. It was so good that I was compelled to go to Chef and personally thank her.
Amazing view and good service
Great breakfast fare with lots of vegetarian options. Not fancy, but friendly. Take a walk along the rail trail that goes right past it to build up an appetite: the portions are generous
I enjoyed the vegetarian skillet breakfast with perfectly poached eggs. The veggies were nicely sautéed and the potatoes were crispy. I have never had such a wonderfully prepared diner breakfast. My hungry teens had the big breakfast, it was so huge, the server needed to carry each one with two hands. Truthfully it was too much food, but they said it was delicious, especially the fluffy pancakes.
EDIT: bumping this down to 4 stars because the past two times I went, the service wasn't great and the patio chairs are wet/dirty - doesn't seem like they wipe them down before starting serviceVery nice place for brunch! The servers are really sweet and attentive; we always had a coffee top-up when needed. The views are lovely even on an overcast day. The big breakfast was large enough for two people, but we also got an extra order of homefries because they were so good. There's a trail right beside the restaurant too, which makes this a perfect place to eat before/after a hike. Highly recommend!
Our first time here and we really enjoyed! Patio view is awesome, staff was super friendly and the food was really good! Will definitely be making this spot a staple!
We had the Friday fish fry today. Wow, it was delicious. Chef Derek Campbell has outdone himself this time. The addition of the homemade coleslaw and tarter sauce sent the meal over the top. Way to go.
Not sure how I am the first to review this place haha? But its a nice little hidden gem in the Hammer. It's one of my go to spots in Hamilton for an affordable breakfast now! You can't beat eating on the patio looking out over the course and escarpment either!
First time visitor on a beautiful and busy day. Had no trouble getting a seat on the patio though. What a view! Like a little piece of paradise in Hamilton. The service was incredible; all social and pleasant. And the salads are the bomb... Like totally fire. But seriously refreshing! Definitely going there on the regular!
No complaints about this place! A hidden gem for sure. The service was great right off the bat. The food was delicious and of course there is a beautiful view. Sam was great along with her other co workers. Will be back for sure!

Rented the hall for a family function and was extremely pleased with the entire experience. Lots of menu options for our group, and we were treated like family. Great service and incredible food! Very talented chef. Would recommend for any small function and will use again.
My husband and I walk this trail at Chedoke all the time and have been meaning to have brunch here. I wish we had done so sooner because it was so good. We sat out on the patio and we really enjoyed our meals. I had the mushrooms on toast with 2 eggs and hollandaise sauce and my husband had the eggs benedict. Both were very tasty and as good as any other cafe I have had breakfast at. I would definately go there again. I like supporting a local restaurant and glad I did.
Sit inside or on the patio over looking Hamilton. A wide breakfast menu that includes many things to try including mushrooms on toast, chicken and waffles, plus the usual breakfast fare. Real maple syrup with your pancakes. Plus part of the Bruce Trail and the Chedoke Stairs right next to the restaurant. You could also enjoy a round of golf.
the brunch menu is excellent, with plenty of choices and my Rueben Benny (Two poached eggs on Dunn’s Montreal smoked meat, on rye toast, covered with thousand island hollandaise sauce) was a great value and large size. all excellent, with free orange juice, and a final lovely touch of a chocolate offered as we departed. great and friendly service.
A hidden gem for sure. Locally sourced (when possible) fresh ingredients, great service, creative presentation within the limits of a casual restaurant. Friendly and attentive service.
