Layalina Beirut Restaurant

Very disappointed with my recent experience. I placed a late-night Uber order with Layalina Beirut — the pickup ETA was 12:05 AM and their Google hours clearly say they close at 1:00 AM. When I reached the restaurant around 12:35 AM, they were already closed.

When I contacted Uber support, they said the restaurant has their own hours listed as 12:30 AM — but that’s not what’s shown on Google. As a customer, I always go by Google Maps hours, and I don’t think it’s fair to leave people stranded like this.

If the restaurant closes at 12:30, they really need to update their Google hours to reflect that, otherwise it’s misleading.

I got food poisoning because of their food, it’s been a week and now I can’t even drink water.

Couldn’t dine in last night due to a private party, understandable it was New Years. The party was poppin when we went in the music was amazing I wanted to dance. The service was excellent and the food was one of the best meals I’ve had from any restaurant!!!

Suspicious business, terrible customer service, workers trying to make a profit for themselves without owner knowledge, not recommending this place and never doing business with them again.

I had talked to the owner Abbas to cater my engagement party after visiting the store 4-5 times and talking to the owner we decided on what we wanted and paying a deposit. my engagement was on a Sunday dec 15, 2024 . I had went to the store and paid in full for the catering on Friday dec 13, 2024, Saturday night the owner had sent his “event planner “ Ali to see the place and to bring all the warmers the night before it was around 8 pm Saturday dec 14, 2024 Ali grabbed my fiancé to the side and said “I charge $200 for delivery but for you $150” my fiancé paid the 150$ because we did not want to food to be cold or not arrive on time , even though when we talked to the owner Abbas and discussed the final price delivery was included.

Ali went back to the restaurant and told the owner Abbas we Tipped him $50 when we gave him 150$ anyways that goes by and the engagement is over they forgot to bring our fruit Trey to the hall and we had discussed the drinks to be assorted drinks Ali only brought 24 cans of Pepsi meanwhile we had 80 guests, my brother and fiancé had to go to the restaurant on the engagement day Sunday Dec 15, 2024 just to get more drinks for other guest the next day (monday) after the engagement the owner apologized for forgetting the fruit Trey and for his employee to ask for more money.

we were told we would get free dinner because of the inconvenience I had called a week later Dec 22, 2024 to place an order and I told the lady on the phone to speak to abbas he knows we were coming . I received 2 calls to come pick up the food I told them before I ordered I would get it for free. they stated “ okay come” I went to the restaurant I was told no it wasn’t free we would get 50$ off and I was told the owner Abbas is in the USA on a weekend

I called the owner 3 times and didn’t get an answer back until half an hour later the owner calls me back stated he was in the USA and he will call me back in half an hour it’s been 2 weeks and I still haven’t received a call back.

This business is fishyyy the workers lie to the owner
1. doubled charged me for delivery and Ali lied to his boss about how much he took from us
2. forgot the most important part the fruit we had no fruit at the engagement
3. super disrespectful staff

Never recommending or dealing with this restaurant ever again

They serve quality Middle Eastern foods at this restaurant and even have a separate section for shisha.

We came with over 20 people, and although we waited some time for our food to come, when it did, we were all blown away with the quality and flavor. A++

Our server, Abdul or Abdel, was patient with all our orders, and all of them were correctly distributed. Thank you!

Tucked away in a semi industrial area - this Lebanese food restaurant gives real fresh flavours and authentic dishes. Fluffy falafels, homemade hummus and baba ganoush accentuated our fattoush salad and shawarma plate. Tasty lentil soup as an on house appetizer, we started the meal off deliciously. The presentation of our meal was beautiful. My first time but not my last. Thank you! Good luck to our lovely server, 8 months fresh to Canada! Welcome!🇨🇦🍁🙏🏻

My family and I order from layalina a minimum once a month. The flavors are fantastic (my compliments to the chef ) and the servers are so friendly and kind. Today was one of those days where we're in the dumps from a cold and their lentil soup and shawarma saved the day. I love knowing that I have such an authentic cuisine experience here in Hamilton. Shout out to the amazing chef and staff and thank you for taking my feedback about the traditional shawarma recipe 😋
