This is an interesting franchise where the same named dish is not necessarily the same delicious dish every where. This is especially true for the orange beef at the limeridge location. The sauce there is almost candied and delicious. Always worth asking for a bit extra on the beef BUT if you go to the Burlington location the same dis is completely different. The owner of the Hamilton location told me that when other location opened they bought use of the name but not the recipe for orange beef. There is a difference!

Let me start by saying that I have been a long time customer of Le Chinois!
The food quality is as good as it’s ever been!
I don’t have a problem with prices going up over the years but the portion amounts have decreased as well!

Terrible. Was supposed to be orange chicken. So fried couldn’t even eat it. Noodles tasted burnt but with a little hot sauce they were edible.

PEANUT FREE ASIAN FOOD!

My toddler has an anaphylactic peanut allergy. Because of this, we typically avoid Asian foods as they often use peanuts in the oils and sauces. I have asked several other establishments and been given no peanut accommodation. I understand you can never guarantee that something is peanut free but Le Chinois did an excellent job accommodating our allergy and checked all of the ingredients for us. My toddler absolutely loved her meal and it was a joy getting to watch her enjoy some complex Asian flavours. Thank you Le Chinois, happy to have a safe spot for my daughter going forward.

To the chef, prep folks, please consider making smaller cuts on the veggies (thin slices instead of block cuts... if you're using a food chopper, consider going back to a mandolin), especially on the carrots as they come out very undercooked and not palatable for the dish.

I will update this review if there's changes in the food prep

Let me start by saying that we are long time customers of this franchise, not necessarily this location, but the franchise. We started many years ago in their downtown location and have ordered from the Burlington location and the Mall Road location. For those people that like standard Americanized Chinese food, this might not suit your tastes. Their moo shoo is unique and a taste experience that my wife and I have enjoyed since the first time we had it many years ago. On our recent visit, we were greeted by a friendly staff member that was not only willing to make recommendations but offered to make a dish that wasn't on their menu. This is great customer service! All of the dishes were cooked perfectly and fresh, with just enough vegetable crunch. Meat and noodles were likewise properly prepared. We didn't have it this time but if you like a "spicy" shrimp dish order the Le Chinois shrimp. The orange beef is also spicy and tasty. I'm sure if you put a special request in they would accommodate. So far, we have never been unhappy with their quality or service. Also, it is mainly a takeout place and the atmosphere is really irrelevant at this location. In conclusion, I initially just wanted to leave a short review stating that we were pleased with the food and service but after reading some of the negative reviews I felt compelled to go into more detail regarding the excellent experience that we had.

Vegetarian options: Ask for options.

Dietary restrictions: They seem willing to adjust the ingredients to accommodate all dietary restrictions.

This is the worst Chinese food i have ever had. Sweet and sour chicken had never seen a chicken. Chicken in blackbean was onions and Grisel , Rice had noodles added, Chicken curry was the worst chicken i have ever eaten. oh wait. i put it all in the food waste. shrimp with veg was the only half decent part of the order. over $100 and it was not eatable. advice. do not order from here. bad bad food. even the next day when i picked out the best of what i thought was ok still ended up in the bin. what a waste of money. never again.

I used to like the food here, unfortunately their food quality has gone way down. One dish we ordered was never sent, half the food was lukewarm, and the beef in the beef and broccoli dish was mostly chewy fat and inedible. Won't be returning to this location anymore

Ya long wait for burnt food that tastes gross what do they put in their rice cause it's the worst rice I've ever had. It was so busy as well but I must've ordered the worst thing but with the traffic I expected way better, very disappointed especially walking a mile to get it. Never again. I got the orange beef and not impressed. Tough, dry and taste like burnt soy sauce. Also it is supposed to be black so gross. Don't get the orange beef. In fact go next door and get the shawarma that's the best in town.

This place completely turned around my previously held opinion that North-American Chinese and Chinese food can't coexist harmoniously. The quality of the food is great and the combo options are amazing. I avoided Chinese takeout for the longest time but the superiority of this place changed my opinion entirely. The Orange beef, Le Chinois Chicken, Lemon chicken and Chicken fried rice are amazing.Only downside is that the place is a bit pricey.
