Staff needs to be given lesson on proper counterfeit bills evaluating. I've dealt in business that handles high volume of money my whole life. I was given change from another store, I would never accept counterfeit. My job is to spot it. I went to use it at this location, yes it was old style of bill, and they refused it. If they had just taken the time to professionally inspect it there would have been no problem. Instead they laughed at me and were very rude. Fine don't take the money but don't laugh at me and be rude. There is a professional way of handling these situations politely. And yes to the management that will be reading this your staff will obviously deny their behavior but I'm sure you'll know the truth.

Took one bite of our sushi and could immediately tell it was spoiled. After closer inspection saw that the avocado and cucumber was yellowy-brown. Brought it back and explained this to the man behind the counter. Instead of apologizing and trying to make it right, the employee began arguing with me and basically told me too bad. I have never experienced such RUDE service and terrible treatment of customers. Will not eat here again!

End of day sushi sale was more expensive than most sushi places. Was super disappointed by the taste, and spicy mayo was so hot it pinched my throat and ruined the taste of sushi. Man working there was not pleasant either. Didn’t show great customer service. If a Tim Hortons worker is friendlier, that’s saying something.

Completely rude and disrespectful man behind the counter. Kind girl working, but the man was angry that i was requesting a new container because they made their spicy mayo with a “new siracha brand” and it was so hot the sushi was not edible. He yelled at the girl employee in his language so not sure what he said, then ultimately threw a new container on the counter in front of me. Never going back there again.. unacceptable customer service!

I take a 30min+ bus ride to this mall just to come to Mac's. Their avocado sushi is amazing! Nice big slices, avocado is not over or under ripe. Serving sizes are nice and big: their grab and go bar gives you 2 rolls worth. Seaweed salad was also incredible and a nice big portion size.

The workers' manner is not polite at all and they do not know how to explain the ingredients in their dishes. I asked them about the ingredients in one of their dishes. Their manner was very bad and they spoke to me in a loud voice. I hated this restaurant very much and I do not recommend it.
Sushi quality is very good based on my tasting experience in Japan and South Korea. Recent reviewers are very negative only because owner declined to provide free chopstick, while they even have not tasted the Sushi here.
