I went in here with little expectations and the experience was awesome. The Atmosphere is amazing it’s like a Hawaiian mixed with like a modern setting with dim lighting. The Food was amazing especially the pizza. The customer service was good.

This is the place to go for Detroit Style pizza maybe even any kind of pizza. Hamilton is Ground Zero for southern Ontario's pizza game and this is a strong representer of high quality, tasty pizza. I ordered both the regular and gluten free pizzas. Slight difference in crust (gluten free slightly fluffy - in a positive way) but both spectacular. The perimeters were not overly charred like other Detroit style pizza places I've visited. The toppings were all high quality ingredients. What really stands out is the sauce - freshness and flavour. I don't know about you but to me a Detroit style pizza is defined by its permiter crust and dauce, Maipai delivered on both. I'm going back - no doubt about it!

Mai pai was well worth the hype ! The vibe is amazing and the food is delicious! It is busy and with that comes the cost of slightly slower service when it comes to receiving drinks. That is not the fault of the staff just pure volume of drinks being made!
Consistently good food, excellent cocktails and a unique atmosphere for a pizza restaurant. Staff are always friendly and service is excellent.

Stopped by for the first time today and had a great experience. I got the pickle pizza and parm fries to share with my boyfriend and both were delicious, highly recommend. Menu says most people are full after 2 slices, and that’s definitely true! Servers are friendly and attentive, drinks are strong! 10/10

It was a fantastic experience! The pies were delicious, and I absolutely loved the ‘Dou You Wanna’ – such a unique treat. Our server, Brooke, was incredible. She was friendly, attentive, and made our time there even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

What a cool place. We have driven past this restaurant so many times and had no idea as the outside gives no indication as to what’s inside. We didn’t have reservations, but were lucky enough to score a spot at the bar What a vibe. Truly feels like you’re somewhere tropical. Not what you would expect from a delicious pizza place. We weren’t sure what to expect with the food. Pizzas were square shaped, not traditional triangles. But boy….the pizza was delicious. The dough, the sauce…excellent. The bartender and servers were super friendly, funny and entertaining. Will definitely be going back

My review can only add to the avalanche of praise for this spot. Engaging, patient and warm staff, a menu that demands repeat visits to try many of the items and fun music. But…the decor. My goodness. It’s temporarily transport-tational: as a history nerd I feel like I’ve gotten the best of the experiences of Pacific tiki-bar life. You’ve never seen a place like this. You should. This place is Mai favourite pizza spot in Hamilton. You’ll forget that you are at 631 Barton Street E. Every cocktail is a clever melange. It’s a total experience. What’s the meaning of Pai? Flavourful fun!
