Amazing dining experience! Two people, lunch buffet. Upper James, Hamilton, ON. CAD $26, plus a senior's discount of 20%. Great value. Wonderful selections of appetizers, entrees, and desserts, including sushi and sashimi. Great taste. Great service. Hot hand towels before and after the meal is a nice touch. Clean washrooms. Can't beat the Mandarin restaurant for an overall great dining experience.
we went at 8 pm on a Sunday and the little of choices they did have were not replenished but left as the night was about to end at 10 pm. Rice was dried up and bread was hard. Deserts were almost empty and for the price of four adults this place is not worth it.
We were at the Mandarin Upper James last night celebrating a special occasion. We had been here MANY times in the past. This time it was a total disappointment. Our server was very slow and we found much of the food in the buffet was greasier than in the past. A new chef maybe? The tables are so close together making it almost an obstacle course to maneuver with a plate of food. The price increase is not reflected in the experience we had last evening.
