My friends, what are we doing here? Not eating banh mi at McQueens? This is hands down the best banh mi in Hamilton and it’s no contest. For a mere $5 you’re getting an experience you’ve never had. The service is fast and the little shop also sells other stuff like sticky rice, Vietnamese coffee, instant noodles and other stuff! They also cater so if you ever need
If you’re looking for suggestions, in my opinion the classic thap cam (cold cut meats) is the best. I recently tried the lemongrass beef and I don’t think I’m going back to the classic again. They offer the option to make the sandwich become deluxe (adds a lot more meat) for a dollar more! If you’re on a bulk, a deluxe banh mi is such a good lunch 🙏 definitely worth checking this place out.

We first discovered McQueen’s Banh Mi sometime around 2023 or 2024 through a YouTube Shorts recommendation. Back then, we used to pass through Brantford often, so we decided to give it a try—and honestly, their banh mi is to die for. The baguette is perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just the way it should be. We always get the Saigon Banh Mi—it's packed with flavour, a perfect balance of savory and sweet, and the portion size is generous. It's also a great deal for the price.

Since that first visit, we've become huge fans. We started by buying five banh mi, then upped it to eleven, and on our most recent visit—twenty-two. Yes, 22! That's how good they are.

Most recently, on May 4, 2025, we called just after opening to reserve our order while we were heading out for a hike at Mono Cliffs Provincial Park. We originally planned to get to Hamilton around 3:00–3:30pm, but our hike took longer than expected. I called again to let them know we’d be late. Even though they had already sold out, the staff was incredibly kind—they waited for us before closing up. I felt bad for the delay but was so grateful for their above-and-beyond service.

We live about two hours away, but we’ll happily make the trip just for McQueen’s. We actually weren’t planning to go to Hamilton that day—but the craving was too real, and it was totally worth the detour. We brought the banh mi to Devil’s Punchbowl and enjoyed them with a view. It was perfect.

We’ve tried other banh mi spots when McQueen’s sells out early, but nothing else hits quite the same. I’ve made YouTube and RedNote videos about them just to share how amazing their banh mi is.

McQueen’s isn’t just a banh mi shop—it’s a destination.

Best Banh Mi in Hamilton so far. If you’re searching for a great sandwich and a good price this place should be added to your list. The Saigon Deluxe comes on fresh bread with fresh ingredients and will fill your appetite for well under 10 dollars. Authentic flavour with spice or no spice. Order ahead if possible as they often can sell out before 2pm (this is a good thing). They bring fresh buns in daily and when they are gone, they’re gone. Enjoy!

I’ve been back many times and they are always consistent. Still one of my favourite banh mi’s I’ve had in Canada.

A really great and affordable option for lunch! My go-to banh mi’s are the lemongrass chicken, ultimate oink, and saigon. Really quick service too.

Best banh mi I've ever had! Move over Banh mi boys, McQueen is far tastier, fresher and on a perfectly baked baguette that could be sold in France. Unbelievable Hamilton gem. They said people come from Toronto to try it and I'm not surprised. Staff are friendly and take great pride in their sandwiches.

This place is awesome! Wife and I split up the sandwiches. The Saigon #1 was amazing. The pork sandwich #2 was even better. Very fast service, very friendly service, and price was great.

I got the classic. Portion size is generous for the price. Bursting with flavour. Staff was very friendly the two times that I went.
