Recently moved over to the area and was interested in Mega Subs so I’ve gone a few times to try different things. Personally I’ve never had anything here that’s been bad, all of the food has been delicious, additionally the price point reflects a lot of places now a days so I don’t find it wildly expensive as some people have stated.
More specifically I will say that their Pulled Pork Poutine is definitely a star on the menu. It’s always FILLED with cheese gravy and pork, which is shocking considering most establishments will skimp out on pulled pork. I’ve also had subs (turkey/philly cheese steak) and Deep fried dill pickles which were also amazing. Truthfully they’re a hidden gem and a little sad I didn’t make the trip to them when I lived a bit further away.
The atmosphere in the shop feels very local, and honestly in a time of pure corporate business it’s nice to see real people behind the counter instead of worker drones. The shop is clean, and has a charm to it. I’ve always been greeted by the workers and feel welcome everytime I order or pickup.

Had to throw out my entire meal. I ordered a gyro sub and a chocolate peanut butter milkshake. Sub was dry because there was no tzatziki sauce on it plus it tasted strange. Also the milkshake that I received was mint chocolate. Will never order mega subs again.

Excellent sub. Super fresh and delicious. I’m a big sub guy, I try new subs shops regularly. This is great. No where to eat inside but delicious for takeaway. I got the club, bacon was perfectly cooked, bread fresh, can’t go wrong. Definitely give it a try!

What a great surprise. My buddy and I stopped in on a whim. These were the b at subs we've had in a long time.
Everything was super fresh. The prices were awesome maybe on the side of cheaper. The owner was friendly, quick and did everything with a huge smile.
I will definitely be back the next time I'm through Hamilton/Stony Creek.

The first two orders where Awsome Today we ordered cause it’s hot and the only thing good was the bread I paid for extra meat and got no extra meat At least be consistent

I have been going here since I was a kid growing up in the area. I’ve always described Hamilton as the Makkah of Sub Shops - with Mike’s, Buddies, Atlantic, Fennel, Glow, all great mom/pop sub shops, but Mega Subs is one step above the rest. Their signature is the bread, a little crunch on the outside but so fluffy on the inside.
The staff know me by name and couldn’t be friendlier, always asking how my family is doing.
The only strike against them would be the lack of dine-in seating. Before renovations they used to have tables for customers.
They have done a great job to update the look of the building (inside and out) over the last few years.
I wish they would bring back their punch card that they used to have. Every 10th sub was free.

Mega Subs is hands down the BEST sub shop in town! Every time I visit, I’m blown away by the quality, freshness, and massive flavor packed into every bite. The bread is always perfectly fresh and soft with just the right amount of crunch, the meats are stacked generously, and the toppings (especially the crisp shredded lettuce) are always super fresh and vibrant.
The team here is fantastic — fast, friendly, and they clearly care about making every order just right. You can tell they take pride in their sandwiches, and it shows!
If you’re looking for a hearty, satisfying sub that blows the big chains out of the water, Mega Subs is the place to go. I recommend them to everyone I know — it’s the ultimate spot for a delicious, no-fuss, perfect sandwich. Keep up the awesome work, Mega Subs!
