Cool place with good beers. We liked the shared table seating and got to make some new friends. Can't speak to the food as we didn't order anything, but it looked and smelled good.

I was recommended this place from locals as a good go-to spot for good beer and good food. Being from Alberta, the brisket sandwich here rivals anything from home, it was melt in your mouth tender. I will definitely be back anytime I come visit Hamilton!

The drinks were good and food was good. The quality was good but the cheddar Smokey was $18 and didn’t come with fries which seems crazy considering at a fast food restaurant you would get fries and a drink for less than that. Otherwise, the drinks were good and the Mac n cheese was great. Their sesame mayo is incredible!

Nice experience with a small brewery, restaurant.
Discover new, for us Belgians 😉, flavors of beer.
Very professional and attentive staff.
Thank you. 😊

Great beer selection. Can also buy per can to go if you want. Prices are pretty standard.

The food was surprisingly really good.

Recommendations: bahji pita. Butter chicken sausage.

Appetizers: fried pepperoni, giant pretzel.

They know how to make beer. Trust them and go outside your comfort zone and you will enjoy.

Great selection of beer on tap. My wife and I got flights to sample as many as we could. All were great. The Mac and cheese with brussel sprouts AND bacon was one of the best Mac and cheese I have had.

I used to love this place. I don't know what happened the last year or two but since then I have had nothing but bad experiences with the service and food. Constant bad changes to the menu. I tried to order food for pick up today and the waitress messed up the order and left items out which led to us waiting for certain food items to be cooked when we picked up the order with no compensation for our time. The original food was fully cold and soggy by the time we left with our take out. The menu on the website is different than in person. The sausage that used to be $14 was changed to $20 including fries this past year. As of today a single sausage costs $18 and does not include any side, even though this is what is shown on their website as of today.

This place used to be our go to and the place I went to for all comfort food. I don't think I'll be back after this experience.

3.85/5.0 To be fair, I did not eat here. The beer was solid. The service was above average. The place was quaint, nice.

Nice brewery vibe.

Good location, clean, nice vibe to it. Ordered the Brisket sandwich with fries, total of around $30 with tip, no drink. Food was a bit too oily or greasy, and fries didn't taste as fresh or crunchy. Decent portions but a bit overpriced. I think it's worth trying other items on the menu.

What can I say? I love Merit Brewing for a quick beer and a bite on my way home after work. It hit the spot on a Friday—and likely would hit the spot any day of the week. Go and see the fine folks at Merit!
