The food was good but bad service! The waitress did not come back even once to check in after she dropped off our food. She gave us the bill after she picked up our plates even when we’d NOT ASKED for it! I still clearly had a whole glass full of pina colada left and she just asked us to pay. We felt very rushed. She also messed up our order. We had to ask her to correct it when we had clearly stated what we had ordered.

Was very excited to try a halal Mexican food place. We got the nachos with chicken chorizo, lamb birria tacos, and the chimichanga with Beef barbacoa. The chicken chorizo was absolutely delicious in the nachos. The portion size is hefty, definitely a starter for 3-4 people. Would definitely order again. The lamb birria had a good flavour, although I found the meat to be quite dry. Could have really used a consommé to dip the tacos in; that would have helped alot. The chimichanga beef barbacoa was also very delicious. The bean dip that comes with the dishes was smooth and flavourful. The guacamole that came with the chimichanga was fresh and some of the best I've had in a long time. Our server, Tisha, was also a delight and checked in on us many times during our meal.

I must say Mesa keeps getting better and better try their new banana leaf tamales with Mole so delicious brought a few friends that can only eat Halal and they were thankful that I introduced Mesa as a part of their restaurant experience specially because Mesa offers Halal meats. We are already planning to come back for my friends wife birthday thank you Mesa. Once again we went home happy with our tummy full.

Soo good. Food is absolutely delicious. Freshly prepared. I’ve always enjoyed this restaurant and don’t know why I hadn’t been back here sooner. Authentic flavours. The burrito is huge even the regular. Served on a plate and topped with even more filling eaten with knife and fork. Great cocktails. I’ll be returning again soon. Be sure to come hungry. You may want to phone ahead depending on the day and time you visit. Give them a try if you’ve never been. Mesa has been in Hamilton for quite a while and is still one of the best. Hope you enjoy
Been to this restaurant previously and food was very good. But most recent visit the food had no flavor ( quite watery ) even though we asked for medium spicy. Ordered el pastor tacos and it was nothing like el pastor tacos I've had in other places. Usually this is grilled but this particular el pastor was in some sort of broth which first made it watery and overcooked. The guacamole had no flavor ( basically mashed avocado with some tomato ) and neither did the salsa. We were going to order dessert and we were handed the bill instead. I guess they wanted to turn around the table rather than make sure we were done.

Went in for dinner today on a Saturday around 7:30 and had high hopes for this place. Naturally it was packed and although we didn’t have a reservation, they still thankfully sat us at a table within 30 minutes of waiting which was fine. Upon entering and waiting, we were only greeted about 10 minutes after standing there waiting and nobody paid us any mind. One older gentleman and the bartender were kind enough to say something to us after they noticed the girls working at the front didn’t bother to greet us. Waitress was unfortunately pretty rude and asked us how everything was after we had already asked for the bill. Food was good and came out quick but they missed a few items, and service along with hospitality, definitely needs some improvement!

We have enjoyed this restaurant for years…Until tonight…server was arrogant, did not come by to ask us if we were enjoying our food or needed anything else. Forgot to bring the house made hot sauce that I ordered with my burrito. I asked him to take it off the bill. No apology. Burrito was noticeably smaller. We are beyond disappointed as this has been our favourite restaurant for years. Also the restaurant was not clean. Floors were dirty. The staff also had forgotten to turn the music on. We are beyond disappointed.
