I read about thus place in Hamilton Spectator article. It was delicious! Huge portions for great price. I ordered the Medium Jerk Chicken then went back 5 days later ordered it again. A Hamilton hidden gem. Will be back again.

Definitely the best place for Jamaican food, always taste’s authentic and packed with flavour. I’m also not one to like coleslaw but it’s something about how they make it here that just hits the spot. Kind of upsetting how much the prices have raised though, used to be able to get a small box for $9 and a medium box for $12. Now it’s $12 for a small and $16 for medium, and that’s for the jerk. It used to be a place you’d go to when you wanted something quick and cheap but still delicious. Of course I’ll still eat here because nobody does it like them but still a little annoying

This place is hit or miss to be honest, I ordered a medium white rice fried chicken and curry gravy, the chicken was so dry like it’s been sitting all day my rice was stale or they gave me the bottom of the pot!

Jamaicans need to stop opening up Jamaican restaurants to not cater to Jamaicans… I don’t know about nothing else on the menu but yesterday I spent about $50 & change on a curry goat & stew chicken meal plus other things.Disappointed is not even the word. This is not real authentic Jamaican food for Jamaicans.Maybe other races but for me it’s a hard no… The food taste like I’m in Jamaica on a resort. Highly disappointed.. Everyone in my household told me to bring back the stew chicken but I couldn’t be bothered but just know both the stew chicken and curry goat went in the garbage.. I was pissed and still am pissed.. I was on my lunch break and couldn’t even enjoy my lunch and eat good food because it wasn’t edible to me as a Jamaican.

I was extremely happy to dine in at Mickey’s Jamaican Jerk Restaurant on James North. We hit it off right as soon as I entered this Beautiful Island Restaurant. This brought back memories as I migrated to Canada from Jamaica when I was a little boy. I enjoyed digging into a delightful flavour of rice and peas and Jerk Chicken with Cole Slaw. Even although this was my first time eating at this restaurant it felt like I was to connect with Mickey. The food was so delicious and flavour full. My wife also enjoyed her stew beef. Not only the beautiful ambiance of the restaurant and the delicious flavour the interaction with Mickey our new friend made our first visit the perfect package. I will spread the word with my church family and friends to come and celebrate this new Caribbean Flavour.
