Mike's Subs - The Hamilton Original

Always been clean, staff are nice and food is good especially for the price. The only thing I've found was that during buys times, the customer side can be a bit crowded, but there are benches outside, so it balances out.

I went there the other day, I didn't realize they had a frame saying if you are on the phone we will pretend you don't exist. Which is so wrong for this to be a policy. Because I had to use my phone to ask my kids what kind of sub they wanted. And because of this the workers are rude, that is not right because I am a paying customer, no longer will be coming and will tell everyone not to go to mikes subs. Quality has also gone down.

Mike's Subs is, without a doubt, the best sub shop in Hamilton. Full stop. No debate needed. I've been a loyal customer since high school, and in all that time, they haven’t changed a thing—except now their debit machine takes tap (progress, right?). And honestly, they shouldn’t change a thing.

Unlike other so-called sub shops offering over-the-top, toasted, gourmet experiments, Mike’s keeps it simple and authentic. They don’t bother with 100 unnecessary options that drive up costs and waste. They focus on what they do best: making amazing subs (and gyros, too).

Their prices are refreshingly affordable, their menu is streamlined, and the quality is unbeatable. Mike’s doesn’t try to reinvent the sandwich —they just make great subs. Every. Single. Time.

Great fresh bread. Ingredients are top notch, they don't skimp on anything! I know there are other "Mike's" out there, I have tried them several times, but this is the best in the city
And open late, what more can one ask for from a sub shop. Reminds me of the big subs I used to get as a kid :)

Only place I will get a pizza sub as no other place does it as well as Mikes. Friendly faces, nice banter/small talk and always kind to me when I pop in. Atmosphere is just a typical take out sub shop.
