Montfort Mediterranean Grill - Upper James

My husband and I have been going here for many years and have never been disappointed. The food is incredible. We have ordered delivery many times, and it is always good, but nothing beats going in person and having it served fresh.
We always get the mixed grill for 2 and I swear it could feed 3 or 4 with just ordering a bit more salad and pita. But we love bringing our leftovers home.
Highly recommend this location!

The manager was very rude and throw my food at me. I ordered a chicken pita and it was half the size of my previous order. I asked why the discrepancy and the manager proceeded to tell me I was wrong and raised his voice to try and bully me. I reminded him of the cost and he told me that McDonalds charges the same for a combo. The cost of a combo is astronomical, and if you set your prices in relation to McDonalds you’re going to lose. The best Montfort is in Burlington. Save your money and don’t go to the upper James location. Rude Canadians!

Absolutely LOVE Montfort’s on Upper James. The food is absolutely amazing! I could literally drink the garlic sauce! The atmosphere is always welcoming and the staff are extremely hospitable. I have never had a bad experience here. Anytime I bring someone here for the first time, they always tell me they crave Montfort’s afterwards! It is SOOO delicious! Can’t say enough good things about Montfort’s on Upper James!

First time there. The food was awesome. Had the mixed platter. It was sooooo good and brought some home. The Babaganoush and pita was so nice and fresh. Tried the Kibbi. Very tasty. Definitely recommend it and will definitely be going back.

Although the food was excellent, the server was awful. She ignored us (a lot), didn't let us know when something would cost extra, and was right out rude when we were paying. I am normally a generous tipper, but for the first time in my life, I gave a tip of zero.

And, when they investigated this complaint, the server lied about charging four extra garlic sauces to my mother.

Seriously recommend this place! Food was amazing I got a steak pita with cheese and it was the best steak sandwich I’ve ever had, the place was nice and neat.

What really topped the whole experience was the service. The server was so kind and attentive, she was fast paced and I couldn’t get enough of her humour!!

I would recommend to come here for some good food and a laugh !!

My husband and I are first time here, and we are shocked because all the food that we ordered was so good, everything was freshly cooked especially the salmon. Cooked to perfection 💖 and linda is so nice and kind. We will definitely come back again. 🥰💖

The owner is an absolute gentleman and will make you feel welcome. The steak on a pita with cheese is unmatched in this city. Garlic sauce and onion curry are made in house and absolutely incredible.

Dirty Bathroom. White garbage can covered in grime, some soiled tiles. Appetizer Plates not cleared before bringing out mains which had hot plates using burning tea candles. We had to collect plates and ask for them to be brought away. Likely new but also untrained staff. Did offer hummus app to one of the couples whose order was delayed even though the place was empty except for one other couple. Food was plentiful and good but we will not be going back.

This place never fails to be excellent. The definition of quality over quantity, although it’s not cheap, they give the highest grade of chicken in their pitas and I only wish I had more. I’ll definitely buy here again.
