Well-Seasoned Takes
Went for brunch after seeing good reviews. Tried the champagne pancakes and the concierge breakfast. Here's my take:
The breakfast plate was composed well with your usual breakfast items, made with good ingredients. Taste skewed a little sweet with the sugar cured bacon AND the maple sausage, which individually were fine. The sheer size of the challah slices was unwieldy, which was a shame since the blueberry preserve served with it was delectable and would have been wonderful spread on the bread.
The champagne pancakes were fine, but the texture of the cakes didn't match how inviting they looked. They cakes themselves were not the fluffiest I've had and parts seemed a touch doughy. The best item on the plate was the raspberry and champagne coulis, coupled with the devonshire cream, which I kept going back to for more.
Overall not a bad place at all for brunch if you are nearby.

Good food, slow service from seating for our reservation to receiving our coffee, as well as waiting quite some time to get our food. I don’t think the staff realized or acknowledged that we had been waiting for so long.
A bit inflexible with food modifications as well; one of us wanted eggs scrambled instead of sunny side up, and was told that they can only do sunny side, over easy/medium/hard, or poached. I have seen other reviews on here about challenges with food modifications, even for allergies, though I can only speak to our experience.
Music was a bit loud for my liking although this is a personal preference

10/10 great experience! I have celiac and they were great. The server was super knowledgeable. He said either one of the owners or one of the managers also has celiac so they're all in the know of what to look for. Great food! My friend had the champagne pancakes. I've never seen such fluffy pancakes! Topped with whipped cream, strawberries and gold flakes. Great presentation! Would recommend 👌

Had an awesome experience at Motel Restaurant in Hamilton! The place has such a cool, retro-chic vibe inside that makes it feel unique and fun. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the service was impressively quick. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with bacon and a side of tater tots — absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. Great atmosphere, amazing food, and fast service… can’t wait to come back!
