We tried “Motel Restaurant” for the first time to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and it was fantastic. The service from Bardia and Kyle was outstanding—top-notch all the way. The atmosphere was beautiful, and the food was absolutely delicious. I can’t say enough about how wonderful the service was; I’ll definitely be back. Everything on the menu looked amazing, and the dishes at our table were beautifully presented and tasted incredible. My choice—“It’s Vegan”—was so good I even ordered another to-go. Thanks for such a lovely afternoon; we’ll be returning soon!

We were so pleasantly surprised by this incredible hidden gem on Barton.. Clearly the locals are on to it because the food is phenomenal... Every taste bud was brought to life... Such a unique menu and location. A great surprise when you walk through the door...great decor. The staff was very attentive and super friendly. Kudos to the chef(s) for your amazing creativity...portion so large but no complaints here...definitely a neighborhood gem!!! Try it!!!

My boys treated my wife and I to breakfast at Motel. I checked the reviews and thought it would be ok. Well…what a great place for brunch! Excellent selection of gourmet style brunch entrees. Three of us chose the “Concierge” which was eggs, Sunny, medium or hard, sausage, bacon, home fries with spicy sour cream and challah bread with blueberry preserves. One boy had eggs Benny with tater tots. Everything was absolutely excellent. The blueberry preserve was the most flavourful b-berry stuff I’d ever tasted. Server said they make it themselves. The maple syrup served with my other boy’s Concierge was REAL maple syrup, too. It took about 25-30 minutes but very well worth it. Overall, a very wise and delicious choice of venues for brunch. I definitely will go again, even if the music was a bit loud at 10AM! Washrooms we’re downstairs and we’re numbered like motel rooms, in keeping with the theme. They were a little cruddy but there were 5 or 6 and each one was fully private with a locking door and a full sink with liquid soap dispenser.

We just had our first outing with our 3 month old baby, which was already a gamble and maybe not the smartest move on our part on a busy long weekend, but we were eager to get out of the house and have loved Motel since its early beginnings. We felt a bit on edge because the kitchen was slammed and running behind, but we stuck out the longer wait for our table and food, and we are so glad we did. Our waiter Christopher completely made it worth it and was so gracious and kind throughout our whole visit, even with so many people taking out their frustrations and a busy day on him. He redeemed an otherwise nervous experience for some first time parents, and as always - the food and drinks were top notch and worth any wait, even with a newborn. Thanks Motel and Christopher, we’ll see you again soon

I had a reservation for 2 for 1:30pm and by 3:30pm we still hadn’t been served any food. We didn’t get an apology, or an explanation as to what was going on - eventually I was saying that we might just leave if the food wasn’t ready still and server said “it’s up to you”… Still no acknowledgment of how long we waited, an explanation, an apology. Truly shocked at the experience given all the positive reviews we read ahead of time.

Fabulous place for breakfast or lunch. Brussels sprout dish is the best, and cocktails are great. Oh, and buy a candle with gold flakes when you’re done.

I came with 2 of my GFs for lunch, a first for a us. We can't say enough it was awesome from the moment we sat down our very competent waiter so friendly and helpful. And the food we can't say enough I wish I could of gave it higher then 5 seriously one of our best lunches yet. We will definitely keep The Motel in our rotation. Thank again

Love the no tell eggs Benny, the eggs are perfectly poached and compliment the waffle and bacon amazingly. The maple latte tasted amazing and had the perfect balance of sweetness. I'd definitely go again.

Wow, How have I not been here before?! Everything was absolutely amazing. I put in the notes I was celebrating my birthday and they recognized that right away as I sat down,and also with a candle in my meal. Another guest heard the celebration and even paid for me, which I was completely blown away by. I will definitely be back.
