A Mom n Pop shop serving authentic Northern Chinese food. We ordered the classic combo (Liang Pi + RouJiaMuo aka Chinese hamburger) and the Noodle with Sour Soup. All of it tasted amazing! The Burger was juicy, bun was soft inside and crunchy outside to hold in the meat juice ?. The Liang Pi was refreshing, tangy and sour, just like how it should be! The Sour soup was also really good, the owner highly recommended it. The noodles were perfectly al dente and the broth was ?. Next time I'll try it with the dumplings!Love supporting local businesses especially when it's a hidden gem like this! ? will definitely come back more often!!!!

On this rainy Sunday, nothing beats a warm bowl of beef noodles in sour soup and, my favourite, Roujiamo. Having a pleasant chat with the owners, we felt well-fed and connected. The food takes me back to my mother's hometown in China, offering a different homemade flavour from the usual South China cuisine.The owners put a lot of care into the food, using original ingredients for a natural taste. It's truly delightful, and we'll definitely visit again.

Wonderful hole in the wall..authentic and eclectic flavours from northern China. I've tried many different Chinese restaurants and most flavours are from major city centers like Hong Kong, Shanghai, or Beijing. Here there are wonderfully unique flavours from northern China.The soup for the dumpings is a sour based flavour versus the typical salty broth to offset the rich meaty dumplings. The rice glue ball is a great mix that isn't too sweet to make it purely a dessert, but just sweet enough that the chrysanthemum? soup that it comes in really pops.My favorite though is the marinated tofu pork rice dish. The pork is marinated for a minimum of 1 full day, then fried, then cool, and then steamded to perfection. It is soft enough to melt in your mouth, but firm enough for great mouth feel.The owner is passionate about his food, and feels that if it doesn't meet his bar he doesn't serve it (that's why some dishes described on the walls are not available).He is working on improving his serving equipment. Since the last time he's serving using paper bowls and using typical chopsticks and spoons instead of the disposable type.Overall a great place to grab a bite and try something different in the realm of Chinese flavours.
Want to support this place, but all their cutlery/dishware is single-use plastic, even for dine-in. Please invest in a dishwasher and make less waste!

I ordered takeout. The dough of the roujiamo seemed to have been stored for two days. It was so hard that it felt like a stone when knocked. The cold skin was also light and salty and not fragrant.
