The food was decent, some dishes stood out, but others were a bit bland. Service was okay, though a little slow. An average experience overall.

We used to order from this Chinese Food Restaurant, when we did reside in the Hamilton, ON core. Since moved to the West End/Dundas, ON area and really have not found the consistent cooking nor the reasonable price that Oriented Restaurant has to offer. Don’t know about other reviews, but on this occasion 05/16/2025 about 7:30 P.M. we placed a pick our order on the phone. Ordered Lemon Chicken, BBQ Pork Fried Rice, Beef Chow Mein and a order of Jumbo Breaded Shrimp with Lemon and 1 egg roll. Order was ready within 15 minutes of calling, took everything home and heated eat up. We had no complaints on this order, rice was fried up nicely, with lots of BBQ Pork chunks throughout. Chow Mein was good too, lots of thinly sliced beef strips mixed amongst the fresh bean sprouts (with the dry hard noodles they give for the top). The Lemon Chicken was lightly battered and chicken was tasty and tender, the Jumbo Breaded Shrimps were a good size, battered nicely with a slice of lemon to squeeze on them. The egg roll that was ordered, was a good size and crunchy, with plenty of ingredients inside of the rolls themself. Plenty of condiments supplied also. All though the Restaurant isn’t located in the best part of the City IMO, and there’s only Take-Out or Delivery (no eat in), the food is worth it, in our opinion and the prices are quite reasonable and in line with inflationary times. Would recommend this place for Chinese Food, when we ever have a craving for Chinese Food again, we will definitely come back, after todays experience.

Awesome service tonight. Usually met with a grumpy lady.
My fried rice was burnt. Super disappointed in that.

Ordered curry chicken tonight and it is BY FAR the best curry I've had in a long time.

Edit: thought I'd add that my photo does not show the onions or green peppers that come with it. I just don't like big pieces of onions nor do I like sauces on my vegetables so I pulled them. But there is A LOT of meat and very little veggies. Which is perfect for my tastes

It used to be a dirty old bar now it's a tiny dirty little hole. They have only a few tables that their kid sits at to do homework. If you get takeout I got hair and a piece of bone. If you don't go through food delivery app they try to rip you off on menu items and charge you for it they tell you they'll give it to you next time and they give you the thing that they missed out the first time but then they take something else out of your order and if they say they have a free item you have to really beg them for the free item and sometimes you don't get. $2 must be too cheap of the tip for a seniors building because service is awful even though we've always been respectful. The food tastes pretty good if you don't mind the dirt and it's cheap for a person on a budget that has no regard for personal safety. Sad it's not better because they are really the only game in town with very little competition.

Tried it 2nd time to give them another chance but disappointed again. Sorry to say, worst food. Just took shrimp chow mien but noodles were wooden sticks and no vegetables and too dry. Will neve go again. And stinks like

The food quality can sometimes vary. I find it easier to pick a dish you really like. I tried different combos before and I felt ill after one of them. Still good Chinese food though.
