This is one of my top 3 restaurants in the Hamilton area. The frequently changing menu and creative ideas of the chef is something that is definitely worth noting.

The atmosphere here is fantastic. I love their patio and all the art on the walls with the dim.Lights makes the really nice cozy atmosphere. I've been here for brunch and dinner and have been thoroughly impressed with the attention to detail and the fresh ingredients. A favorite brunch place.

We have eaten at Rapscallion many times before in a group setting so have a good read on the menu now to properly review it. Previously the whipped feta was good. We also have been to the original location. The original restaurant felt raw, experimental and authentic. The current restaurant is definitely more polished but the food felt so much more flat.

This time we had 3 things:

Thai chicken wings - the inside filling is juicy, but the skin lacks crisp, it also needed some spice for it to be called “Thai”. The papaya salad is missing fish sauce and flavour, it is super bland.
Truffle cavatelli - need salt, this is the best dish of the 3 still because of the strong truffle flavour, nicely cooked pasta but could add more mushrooms
Lamb ribs - need salt, no seasoning on these ribs, potatoes tastes dry and crumbly

Service and ambience are great, but would not come back for the food.

Amazing food, attentive server, the booths are quite nice looking. I got the shrimp risotto, my friends got calamari and Thai stuffed wings. All tasted good.

We came here for dinner to celebrate our wedding day and it was to die for!

Ahead of our day, I emailed the restaurant to see if they could plan a set course menu with cocktail pairings for just the two of us, and the team did no disappoint. They were extremely considerate about our food allergies, preferences and budget, and surprised us with such a wonderful evening in a private little room.

Our server was an an absolute gem, so knowledgeable and gave us the perfect amount of privacy.

It's hard to pick a favourite dish or drink of the night because they were all just that good, but some stand outs were the stuffed chicken wings - so rich and perfectly fatty. The cucumber mignonet with the oysters was incredible - I actually just ate the rest of it with a fork when we ran out of oysters. The twist on the New York sour was wildly delicious, easily in my list of all time favourites.

Also some great tunes were playing and perfect lighting!

Everything was a hit, the perfect way to cap off our wedding day! We'll likely be back every anniversary.

By far the best brunch in the city if you love high quality, trendy food. Dinner is as equally wonderful. The food is incredibly tasty and of the highest standard. The executive chef is a gem.

Was hesitant to try for a while as the menu always seemed very meat focused, not alot of vegetarian options. Still not tonnes, but had some fish options as a pescatarian.

Very good though. Actually hard to choose what we ended up getting so I'd certainly want to go back.

Staff very very friendly and helpful. Drinks were good.
