Rooney’s is a truly special neighborhood hub. When we lived just down the street, we were so happy when Rooney’s opened. They have events, local markets, talented artists, delicious bagels! It’s the perfect one-stop spot for coffee and community.

Staff are rude and only talk to their friends or whatever customers they like. The lady with glasses and brown hair with the tattoo on her neck is disrespectful and gives a rude look. Don’t understand why they expect you to tip when their job is to make coffee. Tipping culture is out of control. I won’t be going back but the hipsters love it so maybe that will keep them going
Good food, good drinks but service can be hit or miss depending how you’re dressed.

Its incredible to walk into a place that feels like home. Hamilton is extremely lucky to have a family who took a leap and opened such an incredible space for the community. Every artist that is showcased, is a day an artist gets to feel seen. Feel heard. While enjoying a hot cozy beverage, you get to soak in all the love that surrounds you from the books on the wall to the artwork being displayed to the local businesses that are collaborating with Rooneys to provide food or experiances ( ice cold treats, fresh baked goods, pop ups, tin art, sammies, bagels, film drop off). It truly is what Hamilton needed. It is what the community needed. It is what the artists needed. The behind the scenes that goes on here to provide artist walks through the village, artist talks in the cafe, and the dialogue and relationships that occur for these to even take place. You have to stop here and see it for yourself.
