Saltlick is hands down awesome BBQ! The service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Their local beer selection was excellent - we really enjoyed Aquanova’s Yuzu lager 🍺 The brisket was tender, smoky, and packed with flavour. The pork belly nuggets were an absolute standout — crispy on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. We’ll definitely be back for more!

2 hours after opening they are out of cornbread and brisket mac and cheese, basically told the table we had for 8 people was booked for 1.5 hrs after our reservation and we had to vacate by then even though only two other tables were occupied, quiet night apparently.
The food was fine, nothing extraordinary, service was prompt and thorough.
The concept of telling a pretty good size bill they had to leave by a certain time while table space for the 8 top coming in was easily created by moving a table or two by the front window, then running out of two of their best items 2- 1/2 hours into the day is just plain lazy o their part in either prep or ordering, regardless, not my problem.
The bill was nearly $500 with tip, I don't blame any of the staff.
The owner definitely needs to do better at that price.

The table was so small couldn’t even fit our drinks and food on it at the same time lol, food was half decent. But the ribs🤦🏾♂️🙅🏾♂️ the owner I’m guessing played a joke telling us to not eat the ribs with a fork or knife. Which had me thinking they were going to be sum fall off the bone real southern bbq ribs but they were dryer than my grandmas 🐱, ts dryer than my throat when I wake up for water at 4:47am. The waitress so was delirious I couldn’t tell if she’s overdosing or dying from CO poisoning because the whole place was filled with smoke. Also never offered us drinks we had to ask the order a beverage lol? The toilet in the bathroom was clogged tp on the floor and the mirror was ripped off the wall. Left broke, hungry, and eyes burning smh🤦🏾♂️ 💯

I stopped by Saltlick Smokehouse and ordered the 3 Meats Platter with brisket, southern fried chicken, and jerk chicken, plus brisket mac and cheese and roasted potatoes on the side.
The chicken really stood out. Both styles were incredible. The southern fried chicken was crispy with a perfect seasoning blend, and the inside was extremely juicy. The jerk chicken was full of flavour with the right amount of spice and depth. Easily the best part of the platter.
The brisket was a bit on the dry side for me, but the fatty pieces were amazing and had all the flavour and tenderness you want from brisket.
The brisket mac and cheese was nice and comforting, and the roasted potatoes were solid.
I also met the owner, Kyle, who was very friendly and welcoming. Great hospitality and good vibes overall.
Looking forward to trying more of their menu next time.

After driving in from Toronto to try this Instagram worthy BBQ restaurant I found Saltlick Smokehouse was a big APPOINMENT. The place felt like a dark cave with poor lighting, and there was even a leaky roof dripping onto the floor. The meats had no flavor and were dry, while the potatoes were lifeless and boring. Honestly, the best part of the meal was the southern iced tea — which says a lot. Definitely not worth the visit.

Fantastic service by Alexander and Miriam. I can’t remember the owners name, however, he gave us the tastiest southern food. Hit the spot!! Every menu item we ordered was so good, hard to pick a favourite. Thank you for hosting our large party!

Amazing food. The brisket is to die for, just melts in your mouth like butter. Jerk chicken was great too. To top it all off the service as good as the food. To think of personalized service on a busy night is near impossible but everyone got the same. Our host’s energy was contagious. He made us feel as though we were with family. Definitely recommend. Fair warning go with a fully appetite, you’ll need it as they don’t hold back on the portions.

Good place for BBQ. Tried the 2 meat 2 side lunch. Had Brisket, and smoked pulled pork, with Mac and cheese and cornbread. About 4oz of brisket per person, lots of pork and corn bread. The brisket was great, as was the pork. The mac and cheese was unusually salty. Staff was welcoming, friendly and attentive. The cocktails were tasty and unique. There is a lot more to try, I will go back. Thanks.

WOW! Booked a private party for 30 people. Everyone was blown away when they saw the massive platters of food come to the table. Everything tasted great from the Southern Fried Chicken to the Pork Ribs to the Brisket and the Brisket Mac & Cheese. Impossible to pick a favourite because they were all so good. Alexander provides awesome service and is also a great mixologist making original cocktails that tasted great. Thank you.
