When seeking a special place to take my husband for his 65th birthday, this restaurant quickly became top of my list. And they did not disappoint. From the wonderful staff to the delious meal, we felt truly catered to. I know we both feel this was the best experience we have shared in dining. Highly highly recommend them.

First time! Went for lunch! The welcome, the service, the food, everything was spot on and so good. Thought this was a one time deal but will definitely be back. Thank you for an awesome time!
I have to say going to shakespeare's this time was not as good as it once was when I was there years ago.. The prices are ridiculously expensive, although the food was made well; for the most part.., i was very disappointed in the caprese salad! It is an Italian salad that is supposed to have Buffalo cheese, mozzarella balsamic and basil and olive oil..But No onions! Not even sweet onions!, but you guys put in COOKING onions and it was just horrible!! And there was about a half a cup of olive oil, poured all over the top of it! I dont think i've ever had a salad like that with onions!! .Onions, do not go in a caprese salad.!! FYI..!!!
I had the Surf and turf. I found the lobster to be a little tough in spots, and mushie in other spots! My steak tasted good and was cooked well, but both were small... $125 for my meal!! For 3 alcoholic drinks a surf and turf and another$ 75 steak dinner...$400for a dinner is a bit too much for 2 people! It's not like we had caviar!! I do have to say though that the service here is very good. They do know customer service in that regard and they were quick. I do have to give them that. The atmosphere was nice, but they stuck us in a corner when they should've given us a better table, because the next couple that came in, they gave them the better table. I don't know why they would stick us in a s***** corner to begin with. It was my birthday.
The food was Delicious and the staff are really kind and nice willing you help you when they can

First time trying Shakespeare’s and what a wonderful experience - the food was delicious, one of the best French Onion Soups I’ve ever had. The garlic bread was amazing! You can feel the love put into the food. On top of the excellent food, the service was impeccable. Leo made the experience a memorable one, as did the whole family, and I look forward to coming back!
I don’t often return to a restaurant within weeks, but Shakespeare’s Steak and Seafood left such a lasting impression, I had to come back — just to be sure my taste buds hadn’t imagined it. Spoiler: they hadn’t.
This time, I opened with their French onion soup, a house special. It was rich, savory, and exactly what this classic should be — slow-cooked caramelized onions swimming in a deep, flavorful broth, topped with a golden, bubbling layer of cheese and toasted bread that held its texture to the last spoonful.
For the main, I chose the filet mignon. Perfectly cooked, tender as butter, and seasoned with restraint — a dish that speaks through its quality, not embellishment.
Even the complimentary bread deserves praise — warm, with a delicate crust that gives way to an unbelievably soft interior. One bite in, and you get it — they don’t cut corners here.
What made the night even better was the service. Our waiter, Biniam, was the embodiment of hospitality — upbeat, positive, and made us feel like we were guests at a family table, not customers in a dining room.
And then there’s Chef Franco — a legend in his own right, with over 50 years of experience. His presence isn’t just felt in the food, but in the atmosphere. He makes it a point to check in, ensuring every guest is satisfied. That kind of commitment is rare, and it shows in every detail.
This isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a place that understands warmth, flavor, and legacy. And I’ll be coming back again.
Bravo!! Amazing food and staff! Inspiring that the chef has owned restaurant since his 20s and now in his 80s. He is so cute and comes by every table to say hi!! Great atmosphere and best steak I have ever had! Highly recommend for a special night out!
Best restaurant in hamilton, hands down! Been around for a long time for a reason! Love it there. TOTALLY RECOMMEND.
We had amazing service, food, and atmosphere. In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in Hamilton! Leo was our waiter, and he is exceptional—attentive, friendly, and always goes above and beyond to make the experience memorable. Truly a standout!
