Shelby's Legendary Shawarma - Hamilton

Had a stupidly good poutine shawarma from here. It was the only highlight of a near 2am tire blowout happening a couple hundred meters away. Super delicious, thanks!

This hasn't been my first time visiting and it won't be the last. The food is always good and always fresh. They make their own wraps in house. You order at a terminal in the store and then they call your number. Thats the reason I gave the service a 3 its by no means bad but you have to manually input your order and pick-up your food. Solid shawarma place good size portion. Quality to portion i would say value for the money. Go try!

I love Shelby’s shawarma- usually.

Really like the Shelby’s traditional wrabs but the problem is that this location is not consistent with the taste and quality.
Sometimes in the evenings and afternoon, the shawarma is really nice and delicious.
However, mostly at night time, whenever I have bought shawarma from this location, it has no taste to it—or quality. It tastes worse than usual and considering the fact that they’d charge the most price for a shawarma so mediocre is horrendous.

I would request to properly train your staff to be consistent with the taste and don’t hesitate in quantity or quality of the shawarma.

I really enjoyed going to Shelby's before, but lately the quality has seriously deteriorated. I order two Shawarma Bowls through Uber Eats a few hours ago - and they were terrible! I paid for extra hot sauce, but there was none. The chicken tasted sour and old. My son took one bite and told me he couldn't swallow it cause it tasted that bad. As for me, I tried my best to eat it, but just couldn't either. The taste was sour, food was smelling bad and the condiments weren't there. I am VERY disappointed and disgusted!

I like the food, workers, and overall I think its a pretty great restaurant, however I think the food safety needs to be a little bit better.

I ordered a wrap that doesn't have hummus on it, and that had a note that mentioned a sesame allergy and, still, the wrap I received had loads of hummus which I did not recognize (never had it before because of the aforementioned allergy)

This is the second time this happened but before my sister had a bite and told me about it before I ate it, this time it happened I had to call an ambulance because I entered anaphylactic shock 😥.

Other than that the food has only been great however I can't eat here anymore because its just not worth the risk (2/8 times I have gotten hummus when I mentioned I had an allergy).

Would definitely recommend if you don't have an allergy, the staff are great and nothing but welcoming! However, if you do have an allergy, and it is severe, I would not eat here.
