We had a really great experience at Spring Sushi. Not being from Hamilton, I did some googling and chose Spring based on their Google score. We were greeted upon entering. We didn’t have a reservation, but we only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. The decor is bright and cheerful. Once we sat down, our server came over to us and took our drink order. He asked if we were going to do all you can eat and I said yes. The food was delicious, and brought out very quickly. The chicken karage was the best I’ve had at any sushi restaurant. Highly recommend. Our server was really kind and helpful, refilling our water frequently and taking away our empty plates quickly. The best part - when he brought our bill, he said “You didn’t order much food, so I charged you individually for each item. Your bill would have been $140 and now it’s only $70.” That was so nice of him! I tipped him based on what our total should have been and I was still up $40! We don’t travel to Hamilton often, but when we do, we’ll be sure to visit Spring Sushi again.

It was almost $50 to have AYCE lunch here with tip and a pop. The lunch menu is limited, you can't get a lot of the things you can at other AYCE places. At around $50 per person the price is just too high for lunch. On top of that they don't tell you that they only accept cash or credit card until you go to pay. Won't be back.

Excellent all you can eat or a’la carte. Much bigger portions than I typically expect from an AYCE.. and the sushi and sashimi is very fresh and brilliantly presented. It’s also a big menu that goes beyond the typical. Best of all was Betty, our OUTSTANDING server! (Actually the entire team was incredibly welcoming). I HIGHLY recommend Spring Sushi Hamilton!

We had a team dinner so we had a big table. The servers were nice and took their time to answer questions and were friendly.
Now the food. We were close to the kitchen but somehow the food was warm. The soup wasn’t hot. the noodles weren’t fresh, like they had been frozen and then re warmed so it wasn’t chewy. The meat was warm. Felt like the whole meal was made prior or hours ago and reheated for customers. Siracha was added to the spicy udon soup and chipotle was put on the spicy shrimp. Sorry but it was a mess.
I usually go to August 8 cause honestly the food is much better there.
Overall 2/10 for the food. Other than that everything was okay.
P.s i only give honest review’s about places I’ve been too.

Best thing about this place was the service; everyone was super friendly, consistently checked on us, and always had our glasses of water full. Price was quite more than what we were expecting…

We recently tried ordering takeout from this Japanese restaurant for the first time. The website was user-friendly and easy to navigate, making the ordering process simple. I placed my order for a specific pickup time, and everything was ready right when I arrived. However, one aspect of the payment process was confusing: tips. This was a self-pickup order, so I was surprised to see tip options starting at 15-18% during checkout. There wasn’t an option for 0%, which felt strange since I was picking up the order myself. I didn’t see why I should be expected to tip when I was the one driving to the restaurant, collecting my own order, and serving myself at home.
Fortunately, I discovered that after selecting the lowest tip percentage, I was able to override it to 0%, which solved the issue. Still, it’s an odd setup for a takeout experience.
Regarding the restaurant itself, the atmosphere seemed pleasant, and I’d like to visit in person with friends sometime. The sushi was tasty, and the ingredients appeared fresh. However, half of the pieces didn’t hold their shape well—possibly due to being packed for takeout—but even in the photos, they weren’t presented as neatly as I’d expect. That said, the quality and flavors were satisfying, so I’d be open to trying them again.
Place is great. Just falls short of a true 5 stars. Some dishes could be improved upon but dollar for dollar value this is a great spot. You cannot pay debit only credit or cash be aware. It's always busy so weekend it's safe to book a reso.

Wrote a review for here about 5 years ago, and.....it's only gotten better. Stopped here for dinner and had an awesome time. I tried new things that I hadn't before, like the BBQ eel pizza and Bacon wrapped Shrimp also the custard buns somehow got better!

We have been regulars for years, always a great time with great fresh food. It has been awhile since we have been able to go, we went tonight but we were very disappointed. The quality of the food was terrible. My husband and daughter could not eat any of the chicken. They had changed from using chicken breasts to thighs, which I don't mind, but they couldn't get over the gristle and fatty parts. The general tao had no chicken in any of the pieces. This will likely be our last time going, which is sad because we loved this place. The fall of the economy is taking all of our favourite places in Hamilton.
