great experience!!! i love state and main so much. i go with my boyfriend often it's one of our favourites. he usually gets their steak and i get the main burger.

The service at The Keg in Hamilton was terrible. I asked twice for a glass of water because the chicken I was served was not only overly salty but also very dry. Despite my requests, no one ever brought me any water. Very disappointing experience.

It took an hour to get our drinks. We went to the bar for our own refills.An hour and a half to get our food and sides were missing from the rib dinner. Maybe they were understaffed. I won't be back, at least not for dinner.

Cori is the best server. Even when she is super busy she takes care of you like you’re the only table she has. The food was also very delicious. We will continue to choose State and Main as one of our fav spots to eat. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Last night waited 50mins for water after we had to go get a server, they claimed to not see our table of 4 that was at the entrance high table. Rude. Table beside us came 20mins after and served as they walked in plus 2 other tables behind us. Waitress dropped coasters on floor and put them right back on table, gross. Wings were so dry couldn't eat, fried chicken burger also dry, son couldn't eat. Table of 4 nibbled on one's chicken tenders and fries. I now question why I left a good tip. Horrible. Will advise not to go. Waste of $130.

Third State and Main restaurant we have visited. The food quality is consistently very high. Aways fresh, and hot (where applicable). Service is excellent, friendly and upbeat. I had the Spicy Thai and it was very good and a large portion.

I enjoy visiting State & Main on Upper James and Rymal in Hamilton for a couple drinks after work although the bartender Kaz is not overly engaging nor friendly. I’ve experienced her engaging with others at the bar however in my experience I’ve had to chase her down for a refill, or if you order another drink she rolls her eyes as if one is inconveniencing her. A very unpleasant experience and although I enjoy visiting if she’s on bar I’d prefer a different server. This behaviour is extremely unprofessional. Perhaps it’s personal I have no idea. I really hope State & Main does not promote this behaviour towards customers but in the last three visits it seems that they do and I only order two drinks then leave. Very disheartening since their prices are in the higher end. The other bartenders are fantastic!
