Service was slow at first then picked up. Server was attentive but slow on getting us our bill. Food was spot on, literally it's the same every time we've gone. The main burger with fries and teriyaki rice bowl, delicious.
Very disappointed. My husband and I eat at State & Main almost weekly. Until late, it has been a very good experience. However, the last few visits have been very disappointing. I would say this is 75% service and 25% food prep errors. We had to ask to be served after waiting over 10 minutes sfter being seated. My husband mac and cheese had so much panko on it, it was like eating dirt. Pir waitress just shrugged her shoulders and said that it said it was on it on the menu....
Excellent food. Nice and hot, fresh and just the right amount of time to wait. Waitress was excellent. Funny and had answers to our questions. My only quip is when I booked I asked for a table and not a high top. We took the high top but might have been nice to have the hostesses confirm seating before being seated. Even with that, will definitely be back.
